O'Mahoney had a career that started off hot & petered out. His Unification Match at Braves Field caused an all night traffic pileup. He was really green (no pun intended), but he did popularize a move that we all take for granted in modern wrestling. Although, I'm not sure if it was actually his finishing move, as much as it was his setup move.

I think I found a clip of O'Mahoney using the whip... Gotta love the DQ for hitting the ref. How long has pro wrestling been predeterminded? FOREVER. Also: Joe Savoldi is a top notch legend.

Yeah, what appears to be an armdrag is the infamous Irish whip.
(Cue Bobby Heenan joke: "I dated an Irish whip once. Her name was Madeline.")

I was going to say the Irish whip is clearly the finest finishing move of all time... since everyone tries to steal it... even more people than the DDT
But the op beat me to it... ya jerk.

A thumb to the eye, delivered by Ric Flair, is the clear winner in my book.

I was going to post a long thesis on the Burning Hammer complete with pie charts, bar graphs, and quotes from scientists("Holy shit, he put that guy right on his head!!!" and "BURNING HAMMAH!!!!" were some samples), but I think that the Irish Whip has it beat.

The greatest pinfall has been used countless times by all the greats, it is a staple on every show and in every promotion. The pin One of the Fire Pro games used to drive me nuts with this. You'd hit some big devastating move, get a pin and the result screen would show WINNER WRESTLER A -- 12:33 -- LATERAL PRESS or whatever.
