Avatar is one of the best experiences I've ever had in a movie theater, so I'm for this. I just hope they put more work into the story this time. And by that, I mean I hope they put any amount of work into it.

Three more Avatar movies? Jesus Christ, what else could really be said in that universe that wasn't said in the first and won't be repeated in the second?
I say that as a person who likes the first movie too.
Seriously, three more Avatar movies? Three more? Why?

So "The Burbs 3D" One pls!!!! Did you just insinuate that The 'burbs is a shitty movie? The original movie was fantastic. Tom Hanks is always gold. Carrie Fisher needed more lines though. The remake staring Adam Sandler though..... If I just gave Hollywood an idea, I will never be able to look any of you in the face again...

Avatar wasn't or isn't the greatest film ever. But come on, some of you are acting like the film is horrible. It's actually a really good piece of cinema with great effects, I thought the story was interesting, and the action pieces were amazing as well. What's with the hate? It's a cinematic version screen saver, pretty but lacking in depth. It's not the worst movie ever made, but it takes way too long to do absolutely nothing. There's really nothing to get excited about in 3 more movies when he proved he wasn't capable of doing one 3 hour movie well.

This is great news for those of us who like unicorns having sex with aliens in the jungle on the moon

I honestly don't see Cameron doing three Avatar sequels. I see him doing the next one, and another one in terms of a trilogy. But three more? I just don't see it. Given how long he takes with filming there's no way it'll happen in my opinion.
What would be nice is if he did another Terminator film. One that actually depicts the future war after the machines took over.

"...Copycat." It took me a moment to recognise who that was for a moment. The guy lost half of himself.

Every time I try to watch Avatar I get bored and stop.
It's not awful, per se, but just really flat.
Seeing this thread made me wish they were attempting to remake an Avatar: The Last Airbender movie, but this time with a competent writer/director.
