Sadly, after Raw, I think we all realize what WWE views Cena as: a solid B+ guy, but not (and never will be) THE GUY.
Let's look at what he's done since Sunday: lose his World Title, lose "the biggest match in WWE history", give up his chance at a rematch so Daniel Bryan can take his spot, and then get taken out by one single RKO.
Maybe the issue is he's just not over enough? You could argue that just his chants are over, since crowds like to chant "Let's go Cena/Cena Sucks" and "YOU CAN'T SEE ME!" a lot. Plus a lot of times, the crowd's pretty quiet for his entrance until they start doing those chants. I think it's these "sing-a-long" chants that are really over.
Raw this week saw the biggest 3rd hour drop in recent memory. What happened in that third hour? That's right - a Cena run-in.
Also I hate to say it, but I think they blame Summerslam on him since he did headline it.

Its the evil corporation...that damn HHH. I heard Nikki Bella didn't like Stephs pant suits and it got back to Hunter. Now Cena has Nuclear heat and is in for a good burying. DAMMIT WWE! Just give the man a push. He deserves it!

Remember when John Cena was super over on SD and they were naming a new number 1 contender? They gave it to $*#$ing JBL instead. The company needs to push young guys!

They've done nothing but bury and misuse Cena since his debut. First they give him some stupid rap gimmick that my some miracle he was able to get over with the fans and just when he got over, they pulled out the rug and not only made him lose the U.S title to Orlando Jordan but completely made his gimmick a non-factor.
He should just go to TNA because WWE clearly has no idea how to treat this guy.

The funny thing is: Cena is sooooooo over, and the WWE either doesn't recognize it or doesn't care. He's even got catch-phrases and hand-gestures! Really, a guy who was busted his ass for years and clearly has the crowd should get pushed, right?
