Well Cena did seem honest with Nikki throughout the relationship. So #teamCena for me.

I do chuckle at the idea of Cena going "You can't see me!" during a game of peek-a-boo with any future children.

I completely and totally understand Cena's side of things but I can't help but feel he should never say never. It's not that he said he doesn't want children it's that he knows he can't provide what he needs to, which is kinda scary as in Cena's mind he'll be wrestling until he's bones. I think Cena will be hanging up the boots sooner then he'd like and having a family to be his priority would be good for him when that day comes. Have people he can share his passion of wrestling with, so he can function and adapt to life after wrestling whilst not being cut off completely. Without that I fear Cena will be completely lost as a person and may not live happily ever after.

It's not so much sides as it is a relationship incompatibility. Geez, if a guy said to me he never wanted marriage or kids, I would never, EVER enter into a relationship with him. If she's done that with someone she knows doesn't share her future plans, she's been wasting her time with him and needs to move on asap. Your eggs don't last forever.

If Cena really wanted children of his own, I would like to think he'd have them by now. As it stands, I think his prior relationship may have scared him off the idea (they were together almost ten years and married for three, if memory serves.) While I, too, would say "never say never," a 36-year-old man whose life is as itinerant and hectic as his is not looking to settle down. A wife and children at home add a degree of tension between obligations and, if he can afford to avoid that creaking cable, he should. The only way I could see it work is if Nikki and kids were to travel along with him (possible, but a PITA to the nth degree.)

Cena told this to Nikki since the beginning, so of course I'm on Cena's side. However, i do feel for Nikki. It's sad we may never get a Cena Jr. in WWE.

Swerve: there's a Cena Sr, so we already have a Cena Jr in the WWE, we may never get a Cena III though. I support Cena for being completely honest, but at the same time feel that his experience in his previous marriage has really given him some commitment issues.

But given that she's 30, even if she decides she doesn't care about kids in the context of a relationship with Cena, if she still does want them eventually then that means there's a not-too-distant shelf date on him as a partner.

I want a spinoff of Total Divas in a couple of years called "All Cena's Children"
I wish I watched Total Divas so I could contribute more to this conversation, but that's all I've got. If they're incompatible on something as basic as whether or not they want kids, then it should be a deal-breaker. It will only lead to resentment further down the line if either one of them budges on this particular issue.

It's not like they've even been together that long, I wouldn't want to get married a year into a relationship

The WWE is awfully blase about letting their main star get written as kind of a shitty boyfriend on a reality show.

I want there to be a swerve when it seems like Cena is decided on not having kids, then Vince's theme hits out of nowhere and everyone(including the cameraman) looks around in a confused fashion like, "the f*** is that music coming from?"
Then Vince struts up to him, points, and says in his most Vince McMahonish tone, "I'm ordering you to have a kid so I can exploit your bloodline long after I've crushed your bones into dust." Then Cena is like "EVERYTHING FOR THE WWE SIR."

The WWE is awfully blase about letting their main star get written as kind of a shitty boyfriend on a reality show. Barring how he wants his home to be treated and the contract thing (which is understandable) he comes off perfectly fine. When it comes to the main issue he did let her know his feelings up front at the very beginning, so it's not like he was stringing her along or giving her false hope. Yep, he was up front about it from the beginning, so he's not giving her false hope. A shitty boyfriend would have been if he wasn't upfront about not wanting to get married or have his kids. And his reasons for not wanting kids, were actually excellent. He's also been shown to be the smartest person on the show, and the only one that always wear a seat belt.

He's also been shown to be the smartest person on the show, and the only one that always wear a seat belt. I was both shocked and happy to see Cena play a sort of moral compass role for Nikki in that show. Really the show in general was a lot of fun to watch if only to be presented a side of Cena we may have never gotten to see.

Nikki just seems to be lusting over Cena imo. She accepts that he wont marry her even though she really wants to get married. She accepts not having children because Cena doesn't want children. She even signed that paper in order to move in to his house.
She entered the relationship knowing she was never going to get those things that she's always wanted so I don't really feel sorry for her tbh.
