You seem to post similar threads like this on a regular basis. Doing it once could be considered getting it off your chest. At this point, it's practically trolling. I admit to making similar threads but considering I'm like the only person here who hates him and the fact that I don't want to ruin other peopels fun in the pro-Bryan threads...yeah this is all I got. So...you want attention, then. {Spoiler}I acknowledge your opinion.

I don't hate him but don't like him either. I'd be fine with him putting on great midcard matches but don't like him as the main event top face. I'd be more open to it if he went back to his clean cut look. The wild caveman look is ouff putting to me. I don't like Cena either tho so whatever. Least Punk is now in the mix of this angle.

Meh. I like his long hair and beard. It sets him apart from the others, too. Setting him apart from who? All the other "clean cut, good looking" guys are barely on TV and wrestle drastically different styles from Bryan. What bothers me about the beard is that WWE uses the beard as a means of trying way too hard to make Bryan into "the anti Superstar" when he doesn't and never did need to be. There's nothing wrong with him having it really. I just hate how WWE has decided to incorporate it into his persona. If he does ever shave it, it'll end up being this "big deal" when really it shouldn't.

Enough is enough! I've had it with this monkey fighting Daniel Bryan on this Monday to Friday wrestling company!

I find the "yes" thing annoying on two fronts
1) it completely over shadows everything he does. It's nice as far as in-arena participation goes but beyond that I don't see what it adds if that's all he says and does. It's very limiting if you think of it being 'isn't this fun!' for people with tickets. In terms of his character that can't/won't/hasn't go/gone very far beyond what it is. And what it is doesn't really add anything to the appeal of the character. You might chant 'yes' if in an arena but you won't buy a ticket to shout 'yes' nor will people really think "I must buy this PPV - Bryan will say "yes!"
2) It's tremendously, and borderline annoyingly, misrepresenting his appeal. He's over but the in-crowd reaction tells you Hulk Hogan level over, yet his segment ratings and buyrates suggest he's not. There has to be a time when people accept that the fan-participation thing seem so to be limited to the walls of the arenas of a Monday night.
Of course he is over and he ain't to blame for ratings or poor buys but when he's in main event segments on TV shows and when hes in championship matches at PPVs he's there to share or blame or credit.

In a company where only one guy gets ratings, and no one regular roster member gets buyrates, in gauging the number 2 star you have to go with audience reaction for additional criterion.
It's not like Bryan is being pushed unfairly over someone who does better business. He's definitively jockeying for number 2 or 3 at all times with Punk. You can only go on what data you have available to work with. It's not Bryan's fault that the WWE fishbowl is so currently shallow. People need to stop worrying that he isn't Stone Cold and Hogan over, and realize that no one has been for 12 years and likely never will be again. He is however the most positively reacted to guy in the company right now. And if everyone we see on TV, who presumably pay for their tickets, are cheering him loudest, that makes him ostensibly a draw. They matter as much as anyone else.
Besides, TV ratings mean nothing as far as a business indicator. Because only 6% of their fanbase are even buying their product.

There's nothing wrong with him having it really. I just hate how WWE has decided to incorporate it into his persona. If he does ever shave it, it'll end up being this "big deal" when really it shouldn't. Look at your signature, for instance. Not everyone has to be clean shaven with short hair. Having a unique look isn't a bad thing. I think you're over-analyzing and putting a little too much importance on the significance of his facial hair, but that's just my opinion. lol Having a unique look isn't bad. But I don't think a clean cut look with short hair is bad if you have the intangibles to to stand out in other ways, which Bryan does with his charisma and technical prowess. I just think that the whole "every wrestler in WWE is a generic clone and they all look the same" argument tends to be grossly over exaggerated at times, especially when a good chunk of those guys are greatly underutilized. Ryder and Riley are drastically different wrestlers from Bryan and are barely on TV. Bryan is a highly energetic technical wrestler with with a lot of strikes and technical moves. Riley is similar to Bryan in the sense in that he's also very explosive and bursty in his offense. But beyond that, A-Ry is more of a sometimes crisp, sometimes clunky, somewhat spotty brawler who throws out the odd power or aerial move. Ryder is a somewhat awkward and generic worker who still has memorable signature spots, and is known to wear bright colors. I just think that this whole B+ Player stuff is dumb when Bryan is perfectly capable of being a "superstar" with the proper tweaks.

If he does ever shave it, it'll end up being this "big deal" when really it shouldn't. Not aiming this at you, because you may never have expressed what I'm about to be getting at, but just using it as an example because others have gone with the "wish he would lose the beard" sentiment. This idea, to me, is just another "you can't please the fanbase" thing. Take away Sandow's towel -- a freaking towel for goodness sake -- and there are howls of protests, same as with taking away Del Rio's cars and personal announcers (raising the ire of people who didn't like him when he had those things, no less), because "WWE strips away anything that makes these guys unique." But they give Daniel a beard, or his goatface scraggly beard becomes part of his look ... and a certain segment wants it gone so he can, to parrot another common phrase "look like a generic WWE star." RIcky Nelson nailed it: You can't please everyone so you got to please yourself.

I hate this irritating catch phrase. As long as we never hear Austin saw what again I am fine with just about any catch phrase in existence. That's how bad the "what" was. So I will take "Yes" or "No" any day. Just never "what".

Daniel Bryan is my favourite wrestler right now in the WWE, but one thing this is for sure is that I agree with some of the points that Buzzkill and Brooklynpunk made in this thread. I really hate it when Bryan just smiles when someone's cutting a promo on him, which pisses me off as well.
Which is why I why prefer the Daniel Bryan from RAW 1000. So intense, over the top, pissed off, and yet funny at the same time. Watching that promo especially when it was just him and Punk in the ring, the guy was killing it. Just priceless.

Since we're discussing the aesthetics of Daniel Bryan, I really think he'd look a lot better if he switched to tights or pants. Seeing him in the ponytail gave off a young HBK vibe, and I think that look would suit him.

His hair and beard are great, my long held view is that all wrestlers should have a look distinctive enough for them to be recognisable as silhouettes, his current look helps him do that. Sigh, this is going to get another copycat thread, isn't it? Nah I'll do it here. I'm getting sick of Randy Orton I'm hate that he's in another main event angle. I'm fed with with his stilted, awkward promos. I'm tired of his stupid beard. I'm getting frustrated that he's boring me to tears every time he wrestles on TV. I want him off my f***ing TV. Agree if you want, argue if you must, post funny gifs if you will but just know I had to get this off my chest. Thank you.

I'd rather have Daniel Bryan than have CM Punk being a dick to people even though he's meant to be a face, at least Bryan is likeable.
