In the world of professional wrestling many good-to great-workers have passed us by completely unnoticed. Its the little things that truly separates the haves from the have nots. ITT we'll point out the small, yet curious, things folks have done that helped them stand out or really help get a gimmick over.
Brian Pillman cutting a square from his shirt to expose a nipple stands out to me as THE prime example of this. It served no purpose, but is exactly the sort of thing that someone who was unstable/borderline insane would do.

Regal wiping his feet on the apron every time before he enters the ring. It works both as a heel and as a face move and it just fits so perfectly with his whole persona.

His "Queen's wave" to the crowd works on both ends as well, and his expression never changes. Smug and arrogant for a heel, well-liked as a face. Regal, Finlay, and a lot of wrestlers with a European background (Cesaro the most recent example) using the forearm to the face cover on an opponent.
