I loved his purple/blue/red trunks. I wish he would have done a green one too.

Fun Fact: So many cyclists were later revealed to have been doping that HHH has since been named the winner of the Tour De France for 2003. In no way did his access to the testing facility influence the results.

Were those the protective shorts he was wearing under his tights to get him through a groin injury?

I wonder how different it'd have been if they had given him some time off to recover. Then again, that might have meant Steiner as champ. Yikes.
I guess they were low on options. Steiner sucked and still had a hurt foot, Booker T was always two inches away from retiring, since he was miserable on the road without Sharmell, RVD was a liability, as he demonstrated clearly during the ECW resurrection, and they had moved too many of the stars to Smackdown. I am not sure who would have been champion.

Yeah, those were only there due to a bad groin injury.

I liked his multi colour get-up, especially the Purple trunks+White boots, but the Biker Shorts looked damn silly. Like he'd gone out in a pair of boxer shorts.

Were those the protective shorts he was wearing under his tights to get him through a groin injury? Pretty much, basically, to try to compress and support something in that area.

The black trunks/white boots combo was my favorite gear of his.

Yeah, they're quite good for ensuring the muscles aren't under as much strain and reduce the likelyhood of injury. Also keep the heat in, I wear a pair for MMA, my legs definitely feel less like dead weights the next day, but it gets swampy, that's for sure.

I used to call his white boots his working boots as he usually had a very good match when he wore them.

I wish Triple H had just went back to the long tights he used to wear for a bit. I read somewhere he swapped them for trunks so he could move to the "next level", so he might have had some weird thing against them, but those other shorts he wore made him look like a dumb ass.
