This week's NXT is a special edition, as there's only one match on the show - the anticipated battle between William Regal and Antonio Cesaro. In addition to their war that has been building up for a few weeks, NXT will take you through a review of their 2013, featuring all your favourite NXT stars, including some who have since been called up to the WWE main roster. And there'll be a few awards handed out - who was the NXT Superstar of the Year? Who was the NXT Diva of the Year? What was the best match? Find out in this special edition this week on Hulu and various TV stations around the world.

Guys, Regal vs. Cesaro was everything I expected it to be and more. Both men beat the PULP out of each other, such a throwback match, and the storytelling to go with it. A match that could only really happen on NXT.
Some really good promos throughout the show as well, from the likes of Big E Langston, Paige, The Wyatt Family, The Shield and Sami Zayn, as well as Cesaro and Regal. Bo Dallas was there too.

William Regal's repentant villain that still relishes his villainy schtick is one of the best wrestling characters I've ever seen. There's so much he can do with that. Unfortunately, time has passed him by, but he knows it and it adds even more depth. Every match he has is filled with emotion and great storytelling.

That double stomp to the head.....Jesus Christ!!!
Damn good and physical match between the two and as others have said, this match told a story all the way through.

Chilling promo from Regal.
I notice there was no hype for Kruger throughout the entire show. Not a good sign.

Regal/Cesaro was great, as was Regal's promo. However, the biggest effect this episode had on me was making me want to re-watch Zayn/Cesaro again. What an ending that 2 out of 3 falls match had. Insanely great work by both men, and clearly the only choice for NXT match of the year.

What a way to close out 2013 on WWE TV. Cesaro is a beast and far and away THE top wrestler in WWE today.
It's programs like NXT that make me proud to be a wrestling fan.

There are no words to describe just how good that Cesaro/Regal match was. Antonio Cesaro is one of the absolute best in the company right now and he has my vote for future WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

I'm glad that they had the sense of putting Tensai on commentary instead of Alex Riley. His insight really added to what was already a fantastic match.

I didn't really care for the match, but the recap of 2013 NXT was well done. Renee was awesome, as usual.
The only thing I don't remember is the in ring segment with Enzo, Big Cass, Cena & Sandow. How the f*** did I miss Cena doing SAWFT? When did that happen?

What a way to close out 2013 on WWE TV. Cesaro is a beast and far and away THE top wrestler in WWE today. It's tough to say, but I'm leaning towards agreeing with you. Cesaro is a motherf***er. With his size/strength/athleticism/background, he can do almost anything in the ring. Pro wrestling is the perfect outlet for him, because it allows him to use his imagination to utilize his physical gifts in ways most athletes of his caliber just don't get to. I'm so glad they're using him on NXT as a singles guy that gets a lot of focus, I just hope it happens on the main roster sometime in the next couple of years.

Unfortunately, time has passed him by, but he knows it and it adds even more depth. Every match he has is filled with emotion and great storytelling. Yeah it would be great to see him get more time on the main shows to portray that character before he finally hangs up his boots for good, he put in a late contender for promo of the year. Regal comes out with some great lines on commentary with that schtick too, my favourite one recently was when he talked about how he lies awake at night regretting all diabolical things he's done to people over the years. If WWE actually do go with Bryan vs HHH/HBK at some point he could play a key role in the background of that feud delivering the kind of motivation that Foley has done in the past to Edge or trying to get through to his friend HHH before he does something he regrets (or a sinner to sinner talk with HBK). Oh and it was great match too.

I'm just imagining a Regal & Cesaro tag team. Just imagine that.
Oh and the match was a1.
The Paige promo was also very interesting and I hope she gets to the main roster next year. Not happy she hates Emma though.

Great match, great promo by Regal. Shame in the UK we only got Paige's second promo so I wasn't quite sure why she was being bitchy and mean to Emma.

Just watched the show. Loved Regal's promo, one of the best of the year. The match itself was so perfect, the kind of match you never seen nowadays. Can we please give Regal at least a few matches on TV? It would help put a lot of guys over.

Both Paige and Regal's promos were very good, for very different reasons obviously.
I was more shocked that Enzo frickin Amore wasn't included in the "future stars of NXT" video package. SAWFT!!!!!!!
That Regal vs Cesaro match though...it really makes me think about where Regal would be now he wasn't always getting in his own way. The man could really do it all.
