Has any wrestler ever been in the main event of a ppv for two different companies, in the same year? Only ones that come to mind are Chris Benoit (main evented WCW Souled Out 2000 as well as WWF Fully Loaded 2000 and was part of the Unforgiven 2000 main event. DDP as well as he was in the main event of WCW Greed and the Invasion ppv.

This is a slight stretch, but Bret Hart main evented Survivor Series 97 and then refereed Sting vs Hogan at Starrcade the next month.

This too is a stretch, but Vader main evented Bash at the Beach 1995 and then was in the 1996 Roual Rumble, less than a calendar year later.

Another stretch, but Jake Roberts main evented in the WWF Royal Rumble 1992 and then WCW Halloween Havoc 1992. Arguably the biggest difference between a quality main event and a rubbish main event.

Actually, the main event of HH92 was Barbarian vs Ron Simmons (yes, really), but that still works as Barbarian was also in the 92 rumble.

It says here that it was Sting/Roberts: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halloween_Havoc_1992#1992 (though it is Wikipedia) I'm pretty sure you're right about Barbarian/Sting main eventing a PPV, but I think it was a different event (though I could be wrong).

Another another stretch, Randy Savage wrestled in the 94 Royal Rumble and then made an appearance during the main event of Starrcade 1994. (Although he did wrestle in the main event of the Clash of Champions the following month, but that of course wasn't a Pay Per View.)

I wish there was more wrestlers jumping back and forth, between companies. It would make things more interesting.

Just thought of a good one. RVD was in the main event of Guilty as Charged, the last ECW PPV, and then was on the main event of WWF No Mercy and Survivor Series in 2001.
