Just a little list on the subject: bit.ly/1eQY7QrSo what are your thoughts. I'm pretty firmly in the camp that WWE has really f***ed Bryan up. True the guy is going to get a reaction from the crowd for a long time to come no matter what. However, for us more obsessive fans of the industry whenever Bryan finally does capture the WWE Championship for a long reign, it will never be quite as special as it could have been.

Also, Dolph Ziggler's World Heavyweight Championship reign. Awesome win. Unfortunate concussion derailed him. Pretty good title loss (almost a double turn), though it was done more to advance Del Rio as a heel rather than to build up Ziggler.

Every belt had a horrible title reign this year. Except for the WWE Rag Team Championships. All three teams reigns have been excellent this year.

Pick any singles title reign this year and it's a solid contender for worst.

the WWE Rag Team Championships. Is that the Divas version that can only be won once a month?

I honestly can't even remember Kofi holding the US title and The Miz holding the IC title, hell I barely remember Del Rio holding the WHC.
And I've watch pretty much every Raw apart from maybe like 6 or 7 of them this year.

Miz's title win at Mania derailed Barrett's momentum?
I respectfully ask: during 2013, when did Barrett ever have momentum?

Kofi was the transition champion from Cesaro to Ambrose (like he won it three weeks after Mania and lost it at Extreme Rules, three weeks later) and Miz won the title at Mania then lost it back to Barrett the following night in the rematch (he then left to film Christmas Bounty).

I'm really hoping that's not the best he gets. I'm kind of just glad he got a non-joke run with it though.

Am I the only one here that sees something wrong with the fact that we're able to have the "five worst championship reigns of the year"?
I feel like if you're only going to make a guy champion for a few weeks to a month or two, or better yet do what they did with Daniel Bryan, then what's the point of making them champion in the first place?

Haha indeed. I have a feeling there will be no problem putting this list together for years or even decades to come. By contrast I'm not even sure if we could have a credible list of this sort for say 1972 or even 1986. Heck, probably even more recent than that.

How could you miss Curtis Axel's IC run?

How could you miss Curtis Axel's IC run? He's mentioned in the opening. I think it's good that it at least elevated him somewhat.Comparatively Kofi and Miz's midcard title runs did nothing for them, Del Rio's World Title run hurt him if anything because of how bad it was and Ambrose and Bryan's runs detract from how specifal their first singles title or in Bryan's case top title run could have been.

This would be my list:
5. Alberto Del Rio: World Heavyweight Champion - I get sleepy just thinking about Del Rio.
4. Kaitlyn: Divas Champion - I love Kaitlyn, but her reign was brutal. She was boring audiences everywhere. The only thing I remember about her reign was the cringeworthy secret admirer angle. Did you know Kaitlyn held the title for 153 days and only had ONE successful title defense on WWE TV? Of course you remember that 5 star classic against Tamina Snuka, how silly of me.
3. Kofi Kingston: US Champion - He dethroned the long reigning Antonio Cesaro, but no one remembers it. Turns out he was a transitional champ for Dean Ambrose. Kofi later challenged Curtis Axel for the IC Title and failed.
2. Miz: Intercontinental Champion - Won it on the Youtube preshow prior to Wrestlemania, then lost it right back to Barrett the next night on Raw. Pointless.
1. Dolph Ziggler: World Heavyweight Champion - His reign was a disaster from which he's still recovering. This could have been a big year for him stepping up to the main event, but he's still going in circles. The concussion was unfortunate. Ziggler never successfully defended the title on TV, despite holding it for 69 days.
