before Hogan and company were fired TNA was either really bad or hilariously bad and I've really liked TNA a lot more since they left, especially EC3 who is showing me signs of having "it"
so I guess C

E for Effort, or maybe an INCOMPLETE. They had a lot of good pieces, but they could just never put them together to make something coherent for a long enough amount of time. Only thing keeping me from going full-on F are the steps in the right direction they made this year, and those are countable on one hand. (E.G.O., Styles until he left, and the brief tag team run of awesomeness with Bad Influence and The Dirty Heels, Aries and Roode).

Aces & 8's were almost around for the whole year. The program was centered around them for the majority of the time. That story sucked the life out of most of the enjoyment I could have with the program.
Luckily their were some good moments too, but not enough for me to give them a ranking above C+ despite great work all year from the likes of The Bad Influence, Bully Ray, AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, & Austin Aries. They have so much talent at their disposal but they really don't know how to use them - still - after all this time& it's very disappointing. I'm hoping they can turn it around in 2014; the more great wrestling shows on TV, the better. But I have a heap of doubt in them.

To be fair, I would have to rate it twice
1. While Hogan was there: F. He really did spend almost 4 years sucking the life out of TNA. He left the company in, much, much worse condition then he found it.
2. When Hogan was gone: D+. The damage has been done, there no point denying it. But TNA seems to be rebuilding. New talent has been coming in and a lot of dead weight has been leaving. The looooong sale rumour's hurt everything though. But I think TNA will have a good 2014.
I prey that TNA is finally done with factions.

If this were based on the first 9 months of the year, it would've been a straight F. Hogan and Bischoff were sucking the life out of the company with their storylines (Aces and 8's were Bischoff's pet project).
However, given the events of the last 3 months, I am willing to give them a D+. They have made big strides in actually booking competent storylines and making everything work the way its supposed to. If these three months were all year round, I would've probably given them a C+ or better.
Here's to hoping things are looking up for them. If not, I'd hate to see a world where the WWE are the only large company left... again.

C- I guess. I didn't think it was the drizzling shits but it wasn't '09 level. The storylines were great in theory but drug out too long with too much Hogan. I loved seeing the rise of Bully Ray and the Aces and Eights as well as the downfall, just the downfall wasn't plotted out at all like most things Bischoff. The X Division had some brief moments of looking up before settling back into mediocrity. EGO was born and then fizzled out. Joseph Park finally came back to Abyss but it was 10 months too late and again, took someone coming in from the outside to wrap up what the Bisch had just figured people would forget about. The BroMans have really exceeded expectations and EC3 is looking like the star most thought he'd be in WWE.
Basically, there was a lot I liked but there was a lot of room for improvement, a lot of which started with tossing Hogan and Bischoff to the failure pile.

F.
Terrible storylines run into the ground.
Nonsensical booking.
Lack of any real star-making moments.
And an overall extremely bland feeling. Nobody is really a big deal, no storylines matter, and no matches are going to be remembered once they happen.

The first 10 months of the year were most certainly a bonifide F with the Aces & 8's crap taking up most of the show killing all the momentum and almost causing TNA to go out of business but with the last 2 months being good to in some cases awesome I will give an overall yearly grade of D- and there is evidence of rebuilding from the Bischoff and Hogan era of failure and trying to become a true good alternative to WWE so I do believe that 2014 will be a make or break year for TNA and IMO will be a better year for them

The equivalent of what TNA did this year to a school grade would probably be... Incomplete. As in they didn't do their homework and hoped they would recover their grades with some miracle extra credit at the last minute and that obviously didn't happen.

I think that a D is reasonable. Hogan and Bisch screwed that place up something fierce. Hopefully they can recover and do well in 2014.

D.
Pretty bad for the most part but there were some great matches and segments that keep it from being a complete and utter failure.
