If they still had this, I might still be watching TNA.
The main problem, apparently, was that the Japanese and Mexican promoters all wanted their guys to go over, and TNA was worried that if they did let them win, they wouldn't return the cup if they were asked to do the honors in the next tournament.

Make a cheap replica Seems like an easy fix

Still, it did lead to Mexico's win in 2008 being such a surprise Though I was really annoyed that Puma was used as a member instead of hiring someone else from either Japan or Mexico.

They did one last year as one of those One Night Only PPV's. Not the same though.

The Super X Cup and the World X Cup should both be continual annual things in TNA. Not only are they are both extremely entertaining, they would help differentiate TNA from the WWE. Not to mention the fact that I'm a tournament mark and if the Super X Cup was brought back as a way to crown a #1 contender for the title I'd be more than a happy bunny.

I'd love for the X-Cup to come back.

The World X Cup introduced me to SpeedMuscle and, by extension, Dragon Gate & DGUSA.
So hell yes I would love to see this return.

Yep it was great. One of the things that grabbed my attention about TNA along with the Ultimate X, the six sided ring and the X Division. TNA was always at its best when it tried to forge its own identity.

World X Cup was one of the things that attracted me to watch TNA on a regular basis. I remember the time Minoru Tanaka went against Alex Shelley in a tourney match and when the crowd was cheering for Alex to make a comeback. When they started to chant "Let's go, Shelley", Tnaka stop stomping him and mockingly clapped along so perfectly that it shut down the chant instantly. I do wish TNA would consider doing it again for Destination X instead of random cruiser matches and the Plan C cash in.
