I miss him. He would be a great addition to the Authority, really, or an unaffiliated heel representing someone else's interests.

Last I heard, David was working as a special correspondent for the HLN channel.
I'm not sure if he's been on there since the Jodi Arias trial ended though.

He's at home, working on the recipe for the perfect cup/mug of coffee.

David Otunga is one of the best heel stooges in recent memory. I'd love for him to return and as HHH, Steph and Kane aren't going to be made to look weak then bring him back. By the way, why is he in the signature at the start of every WWE show? It's so random- Hogan, Andre, Rock, Otunga, Austin, Trish, Cena...

His life is so perfect. He got $ & notoriety from wrestling, used that to transition over to legal analysis (which is always in demand) & goes home to Jennifer Hudson every night.

Bad wrestler who hasn't improved despite YEARS in the spotlight. The only reason people liked him was because of stupid gimmicks (like slurping coffee) that were funny for maybe 1-2 weeks tops.
Here's hoping he gets released soon. I'm happy the guy has a great home life and law practice, but he was the drizzling craps as a WWE superstar.

Unfortunately I feel the same way about him....great at cutting a promo (in my opinion), but phenomenally under-whelming in the ring despite his tenure. Seems like Vince and company keep him on the payroll because of his quasi-celebrity status and marriage to Jennifer Hudson. He'd have better success with a full-time law practice

I think Otunga gets a bad rap. I don't see how you can blame him for not being a decentwrestler. Aside from the tag title run with McGillicutty, he really wasn't given many opportunities to work on his craft. Nexus was just Wade Barrett/CM Punk & Friends. The coffee sipping legal adviser was just a non-wrestling stooge used for comedy squashes.
And even if he isn't very good, I think that the lesser talented wrestlers should be kept around as enhancement talents to relieve the better wrestlers with bigger upsides of jobbing duties. If David Otunga is putting a guy over, Fandango doesn't have to.

I thought it was both great and very weird how they had him do a face turn without even being there in the Big Show/Authority angle.

Hey yeah, it's cool you don't like the guy. But please do us all a big favor and don't tell people why they like someone and then why those reasons you made up are stupid? It's like a big pile of unhelpful.

It's like a big pile of unhelpful. Sorry, I did kind of generalize. What I should have said is "most people online seemed to only like him because of stupid gimmicks." How many "LOL I LOVE COFFEE SLURPIN OTUNGA" threads were there? Close to as many "Michael Tarver in a mask = NEW BOOM PERIOD" threads. I'm guilty of it too, it's easy to latch onto one character trait and overlook all the bad stuff.

His life is so perfect. He got $ & notoriety from wrestling, used that to transition over to legal analysis (which is always in demand) & goes home to Jennifer Hudson every night. Which probably explains his absence from WWE TV perfectly: he used wrestling as a launching pad to something else, and thus wrestling had have a temper tantrum and refuse to book him anymore.
