I wonder what the advisory will actually say. Will it be something similar to the one they use for Classics on Demand ("this program is specifically designed to be viewed by adults and therefore may be unsuitable for children")? Or will they explicitly mention Benoit? Something like "This program contains footage of pro wrestler Chris Benoit. Viewer discretion is advised." "This program contains archival footage of Chris Benoit. By showing this footage, WWE does not endorse Mr. Benoit's actions as it relates to the circumstances behind his death on June 23rd, 2007, we are simply presenting this footage for the sake of completion. However, certain lines of commentary and footage that may be perceived as promoting Mr. Benoit have been altered to ensure responsibility on our part. WWE would also like to ask that parents show discretion in regards to this program, and encourage you to call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE." Yep, that's about right. Though it'd probably end something more like 'and we would encourage you to visit WWEParents.com for more information.'

Something like that is the best way to handle it.

If they want, they can even have Vince McMahon narrate the disclaimer to add to the effect.

I'm all for this, I just wish they wouldn't edit the commentary.... but, baby steps.

If they want, they can even have Vince McMahon narrate the disclaimer to add to the effect. It'd make it stand out more compared to just the warning.

They should have warnings for all problem wrestlers:
Before a match involving Sunny: "This footage contains a crack whore. Viewer discretion is advised."
Before a Brakkus match: "This dude sucks something fierce but we need to fill 24 hours a day. Viewer discretion is advised."
Before a Villano V/Sick Boy match: "No one in history has ever wanted to watch a Villano V/Sick Boy match, you may be the first to watch it. Viewer discretion is advised."
Before the Konnan music video: "Holy shit, this video sucks."

Even with this news, I'm guessing that replaying the ending of WMXX is out of the question.

Even with this replay, I'm guessing that replaying the ending of WMXX is out of the question. Yep. One of the most beautiful moments in pro wrestling, forever tarnished. They'll probably replay it, but the celebrations will cut-off much sooner than the original broadcast. No scenes with Daniel or Nancy, either.

I'm cool with this. They're handling it the same way Warner Bros. handles racist cartoons on their classic cartoon DVDs. Warn viewers ahead of time about what they're about to see, and let them decide whether they want to watch it or not.

I just hope the network doesn't get a sponsorship from Bowflex.

Before a Renee Dupree John Cena match: "The following match contains boners." Fix'd Uh oh, now you've done it. Anyway, yeah, that's probably the best way to handle the Benoit situation.
