Remember on Saturday Night's Main Event, when Jake Robert's snake attacked Andre and caused him to go into caradiac arrest, could have worked if Andre was a face and Jake was the heel.
I always believes sometimes what seperates face from a heel is not what you do, is who you do it to. And Jessie Ventura is right, face announcer Vince McMahon is a hypocrit. If this same thing happened a couple years early and instead of being the beloved Jake the Snake Roberts and he was the deranged hated Jake Roberts and did the samething not to Andre member of the hated Hennan family, but Andre the lovable gentle giant, and that made this tragic, it could have worked.
I think the same fans that poped when that happened, well if the roles was reversed, the fans would be in tears as the beloved giant goes into caradic arrest, children be crying. If that is the reaction they wanted, they could have gotten it.
The only thing they would have to change is Andre being afraid of snakes, it wouldn't work if he was a face for him to be timied and scared. Find some other way to get him into a situation in which Jake could just throw snake on top of a knocked out Andre.
When it happend Jessie Ventura questioned McMahon "don't you find it tragic, for this to happen to a great athlete?" And he is right, if it happened to a face, it would be tragic, when it happens to a heel it is as McMahon said when it happened "he got what he deserved."

Vince actually said that he got what he deserved because he had heat with Andre when the Giant was spotted wearing a fur coat and chains backstage.

I am serious on paper what Jake did to Andre is a very heelish thing. Actully Jake's entire face fun was him doing what on paper are heelish thing.
It is one of many times when Vince and Jessie are aruging, I was on Jessie's side. He always seemed more objectable than face announcing McMahon.
