What did you think of the promo? I think he did pretty well. He's finally getting some time to mess around with some real promos. I think he will do great.
Also like I said in the past, Brodus is doing what I said he should have done. He's evolving his rap gimmick. He started off as the late 80s Run DMC-type rapper. Now he's evolving his rap to be the Mafioso Biggie Smalls type mid-90s rapper. Notice the suit, chains, the attitude. He's doing it perfectly. The only thing wrong is that HORRIBLE theme of his. The video doesn't show it but trust me, it's pretty bad.
I can easily see Brodus get a midcard title.
He's got it.

Holy smokes, I never knew he had it in him! Great stuff, he just became an instant favorite.

Err... why was this on Main Event? Outside of it being Miz TV, which is hardly ever good, Brodus was awesome. I hope he gets to rehash this on Monday.

HOLY CRAP. Not just a good burn by Miz, but everything Brodus said after that. That was pitch perfect. MizTV should be on Main Event for a while if it results in more stuff like that. Seriously, that could be an early contender for Promo of the Year.

Is this what he meant when he said he was a Main Event player?

I like this for a heel Brodus instead of the "Fall of Humanity" vignettes we got before Funkasaurus.

Brodus is a really damn good promo guy when he wants to be. He still is rather lousy in the ring, though.

I see Brodus hasn't lost it on the mic, dude should be way more rusty then he was. The less I say about Miz the better.

Simply amazing promo. He hit every note after that Miz burn.
The most effective heel is one that tells the truth and he did that in spades.

I've always liked Brodus. He's kind of cumbersome and awkward, but I think that works to his advantage by giving him this lumbering, animalistic kind of power. Combine that with what are probably the best mic skills of any hoss since Batista, and you have someone who by all rights should get a push. Preferably more as a bodyguard to a heel main eventer, because Brodus would be able to simultaneously play a smack-talking manager and Big Guy protector--which I think would undoubtedly assist him in building his heat.

Great promo! I laughed my ass off at "we'd be in the ring, and they'd be chanting the wrong name Miz! The wrong name! I had to rename him!"
I think the guy blows in the ring, but as a personality he's got something going. I was at the NXT 4 finale and he cut a great promo when he lost. I'm just not sure he can pull off this dominant badass big man style without stinking out the joint.

Brodus needs to continue wearing a gangster suit and re-introduce "And you do know that" as his catchphrase.

That wasn't bad.
He was ripping on Tensai.
But where do they go with Tensai now? As he said Tensai doesn't work. Sweet T doesn't really work.
Back to Albert?
Dancing fat guy doesn't work on his own. The Japanese gimmick sucked.

Brodus was fantastic in that. Miz was beyond awful. They could make this guy if someone like JR was still around to do some sit down segments with Brodus.

The Japanese gimmick sucked. He's a good big man who can work face or heel, and can put a lot of guys over. He'll be fine however they package him.

That was great. Kinda wonder why it wasn't on Raw.

That was great. Kinda wonder why it wasn't on Raw. Exactly. Now I understand this feud. Now I get why Brodus is the heel. Now I understand the issue over the 'oh, Brodus gave Woods permission' part of this angle. Too bad for viewers of Raw who don't watch Main Event, however. They will get none of this.
