That was great. Kinda wonder why it wasn't on Raw. Exactly. Now I understand this feud. Now I get why Brodus is the heel. Now I understand the issue over the 'oh, Brodus gave Woods permission' part of this angle. It's very strange though if what he said was true. Claiming that R-Truth seemingly stole the theme and let Xavier borrow it..... AND the Funkadactyles, then tried to make out Brodus was the bad guy for not being happy that people used his theme. This entire thing could have been defused in a week had Truth just said sorry........... wrestling is weird.

R-Truth: I tried to apologize but every time I said "What's up?" you said, "What's up!" back and walk away.

I love how Brodus was trying to spit out the last line promo AS Tensai is coming into the ring to attack him.

God that was great until Miz went "LOOKS LIKE TENSAI KNOCKED THE FUNK OUT OF YOU! HAPPY NEW YEAR THAT'S MIZTV!" in his horrible voice. Totally killed my mood.

I don't know if it was just my local area, but ION didn't even air Main Event this week for me as it aired a Burn Notice marathon. If it didn't air in a lot of places, it sucks that Brodus gave this promo on such a low-key show on a day when people were likely doing something else.

Why doesn't he use "WE GON RIP IT UP WE GON RIP IT UP" ? That theme was great.

I'll echo everyone else. That was awesome from Brodus and I have absolutely no idea why it's buried on Main Event. Could they not drop on of the meaningless matches on Raw or Smackdown and have it on there.
Also I quite like the Miz but he was insufferable there. Shoehorning "really" into a situation that didn't call for it needs to stop.

This was seriously the best WWE promo since CM Punk's pipe bomb promo. Good for Brodus. It's ashame this wasn't on RAW.
That post-segment brawl, however, was some of the sloppiest shit I've seen since Shane McMahon's phantom punches in '09.
Also, shut up Miz.

What really made me angry was when Miz said, "Happy New Years" IT'S ONLY ONE YEAR

Thank God Brodus donned a suit & didn't become a boring, robotic heel. A very welcome change from people in the past.
That was a bad-ass promo. He showed more there than he has in years, further making me wish that when they'd re-debuted him in 2012 that he'd come out as this.

Really good promo, but catch me up on who the heels and faces are here, guys. I couldn't tell and haven't been watching regularly for awhile.

When anyone asks 'why isn't Miz in the main event anymore?', this segment should be posted everytime.
Brodus Clay, who has been jerked around with failed bodyguard pushes, a severely delayed debut and then a dancing gimmick, knocked his promo out of the park with a real sense of passion and energy - whilst Miz just stood there looking like a chump, and then proceeded to awkwardly blurt out some one-liners that even an eight year old would find immature.
Before you say it, no, you can't make any comparisons to John Cena because the crowd actually cares about Cena.

Before you say it, no, you can't make any comparisons to John Cena because the crowd actually cares about Cena. People do generally care about Miz. If Miz did anything more than stand there like a chump just spout one liners, he would hog the spotlight and take away from Brodus' moment. As far as he's fallen, Miz still has some value, and he's still a "main event player" in the eyes of the little jimmies and casual fans. That's why this segment was a MizTV segment and not just a regular backstage interview with someone like Renee or Josh, or a sit down with Michael Cole. Because WWE felt that standing in the ring with The Miz would give Brodus and Tensai and their feud somewhat of a rub.

That promo was actually nice to hear and and actually watch. This feud should be something bigger though...
