Cena is at least acknowledging that Bryan should be in the upper echelon and deserves to be "on his level" It's actually the Bryan one that pisses me off the most. Bryan is a grown man, he can speak for himself.

Bryan is a grown man, he can speak for himself. Yeah, the "John Cena's Little Buddy" schtick has grown to be extremely grating over the past few years. CM Punk delivers a promo about how he's "the voice of the voiceless" and he's going to leave the company as WWE Champion? Who believes in his right to fight? John Cena. Zack Ryder is getting supremely popular on the internet, but John Laurinaitis and the WWE corporate machine is holding him back. Who believes in him? John Cena. Daniel Bryan is being held down by the Authority because he doesn't fit the mold of what they look for in an ideal superstar? Who believes in him? John Cena.

Long time Cena hater here. Always have hated him and always will. I have never enjoyed one of his matches...ever. I never got any enjoyment out of him in the ring or on the mic. His matches are about as dull and boring as you can get and his mic skills are absolute garbage. Very little charisma and is a complete product of the WWE machine in every single way imaginable.
No talent to make it on his own outside of WWE and even he knows this. Which is why he's such an obedient little corporate stooge. What pisses me off most about him is the depths they stoop to get him cheers. Using dying kids, breast cancer and the brave men and women who serve this country as human shields. It seriously makes me want to throw up. We donate our money, time and talent to charity because it's something we believe in and do them selflessly. Not try to get a sympathy cheer for this guy.
I'm talking about the character here. I obviously don't know him personally...he could be a cool guy in real life, but the character and WWE can go straight to hell for doing this sickening crap. These are the reasons that I as a WWE fan will always hate John Cena's character. Nothing will ever change that.
If you like him...that's cool but I absolutely hate him as a character.

1: The character choice to not sell attacks just for dramatic effect; IE: Chokeslam through spotlight, Nexus beatdowns, Hopping into the ring before the 10 count to name a few. 2: The character choice to be a goofball during important segments [The Rock feud is a noteable one]then on the occasion he does it's almost always screaming. 3: The fact that his character is exactly the same as it was in 2004 with out the slightest hint of any tweeks save different shorts. You can do babyface who learned from past experiences without making Cena into the wrestling equivalent of a south park character. [In that each episode has some connection to the previous but the characters remain in a self contained bubble of continuity.] 4: That despite the fact Cena has overcome every single odds angle they continue to portray him as somekind of underdog in any situation. 5: Still not being able to apply an STF, It isn't rocket science to make it look good. 6: You'd be hard pressed to find a match, even harder still a ppv match where he losses cleanly, The idea of a clean loss in anyway hurting him is just silly.7: His character is responsible for turning the belt into a cheap spinning monstrosity that was kept around long after Cena dropped the rapping part of his character [The first, only and possibly last character change he ever had] 8: His character trying to be anti authority yet it's known and shown to the audience Cena is a corporate spokesperson for the WWE. 9: His character decision to be a comedian/ add random "I JUST SHOUTED BIGFOOTS DIAPER!" is cringe worthy. 10: The announcers insisting on calling his [depending on the venue] booed reaction "mixed" or "Heated" 11: WWE being aware that people are making valid complaints about Cena and shrugging it off as the murmurs of a vocal minority whose opinion is invalid. Lastly one for just fun: I hate his choice of shirt colors. Not sure is serious. He's lost clean to Shawn Michaels, Triple H, The Rock, Daniel Bryan. He got pinned clean by Justin Gabriel on RAW. He got pined clean by CM Punk at Survivor Series 2012. That's most than both Hogan and Austin had, combined. Google only yields Gabriel during a 6 vs 1 handicap match, You do know what clean means right?

Counting a double pin at Survivor Series 2012 as getting "pinned clean"...pretty disingenuous. As far as the Austin/Hogan point, his run at the top has been 3 times as long as Austin's, and he's on TV/PPV infinitely more than Hogan ever was. AND, he's not even close to universally beloved like those two were.
Anyways...I hate when a cool angle happens, and it becomes "oh f*** it's going to get pulled into the John Cena vortex." See: Daniel Bryan and the Wyatt Family.
I don't necessarily think it's going to go like that, but I'm already hoping it won't.

Cena's mama got one big titty and one little titty so we call the bitch Biggie Smalls. Fantastic! Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go change the water in Nikki Bella's dish.

LOL at this thread. Cena can't wrestle? Really? He's a 14 time world champion. Yes, I realize that wrestling is scripted, but you don't become a world champion, let alone 14 times for "not being a wrestler". Saying Cena can't wrestle is the same thing as LeBron James can't play basketball, or Lionel Messi can't play soccer or Jon Jones can't fight etc. Yes, I'll admit Cena's act is stale, boring, and overdone. Yet at the same time Cena has been the workhorse for the company for a very long time. I'm sorry if you all perceive Cena for not doing a bunch of flips, enziguri's and top rope maneuvers but you know who else didn't? Hogan, Austin and Rock. Those 3 were pretty much over and accomplished a lot in the ring without indy moves that smarks go nuts for. For the record, I'm not even a Cena fan. Nobody in the thread actually said this seriously, the one guy who criticized his matches before this post said he had great timing and pacing but his actual execution of moves was weak and it's nothing like that all because wrestling is fake. It doesn't compare to those examples at all.

I can't stand that paternalism Cena use with the guys that are the faces of the moment. To endorse them is a way to water them down and save his spot.

The "Ruck Fules" stuff and rapper gimmick are super lame. I sure hope he gets rid of those!

This is not an acceptable STF. Stop it. I'm absolutely sick of Cena and Orton being presented as the greatest feud of all time. Stop it. I hate the way he laughs off every loss. AJ turned on him to cost him a shot at the World title. That should major piss you off, you should not be going "Oh, you got me, you scamp!". Stop it. He doesn't sell anything after the bell has rang. Look at Over the Limit 2011. Riley & Miz beat the shit out of him straight for 20 minutes. One STF later and it's like nothing happened to him. Wrestlemania 23, HBK works his leg for five minutes so he decides to start running and jumping on that shit. Stop it. There was zero reason for him to win at Summerslam 2010 and he demanded that he won that match, according to Jericho & Edge. Stop it. His OHMYGODIMSOWACKYJOKESJOKESJOKES then IMSUPERSERIOUSANDIHATEYOU promos.

Well I do love Cena, but now that you mention it... The proper reaction to losing the biggest match of your career/any major championship you had to fight your ass off for is: Cena's reaction however... WHY CAN'T YOU FEEL MISERY, JOHN CENA? WHY? Because he wrote the memo on selling loses.
