A matter of time then really. Hopefully she goes with as little pain as possible. She's lived a quite a life.

Knowing mae, She wont go [into the great unknown] without a fight. Yeah. Truth be told, if I could ever see anybody walking out of a hospice, it's Mae Young. Thoughts and prayers with her.

I'm going to hate every time a thread like this gets updated; we all know the news is expected sooner rather than later about the inevitable.

I think it's unique that, at least with Mae Young, unlike most wrestlers, who's deaths come out of nowhere like a shock after bad life decisions...
For Mae Young we're getting a heads up about her as it happens, we're all sort of expecting it and are conditioned for it already as she's lived a good long life, and it gives time to appreciate the woman more while she is still alive.
Mae Young, is probably my favorite persona in all of WWE's wacky universe and I'll miss her greatly. I'm hoping she can pull through. She's one of a kind.

It's always sad when a life comes to a close, but this is really par for the course for those who die with old age. She's lived a very full life and in the wrestling industry, it's a blessing she made it past 50.

90 is a great run. I hope that she can make a recovery but if she doesn't, while sad that she'll be gone, living a full life isn't anything to be sad about and there's still the hours upon hours of entertainment she has as her legacy.

While this is sad news, I still have to smile when I imagine her starting to strip naked in front of some horrified doctors and nurses. Bless ya, Mae!

Most of us won't make it till 90 To be honest, I don't want to make it to 90. But hope she stays strong, she had quite the career already - and it'd be sad to see her go.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but Mae Young is not making it out of this. One of the main parts of going into hospice is that you basically have to acknowledge that you are about to die. The point of hospice is to make the end of your life as peaceful and comfortable as possible. Once in hospice, they are not actively trying to heal what is wrong with you, rather, they are trying to make the end be more humane.
It is sad though. I love Mae Young.

Mae Young has had what is probably the greatest run in the history of women's wrestling. She is a legend, and icon, and (if reports are to be believed) a class act. If she is nearing the end (and at 90 (or higher?!?) that's always a possibility) then I hope that she is content with that. For as long as professional wrestling and/or its fans survive, she'll be remembered.
I've seen relatives enter hospice care. Their caregivers were (and are) some of the finest, most noble people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. If this is the beginning of the end of Mae Young's amazing life or not, she's in the best possible hands.
