I refuse to believe it's anyone but Vince. It's probably not Vince. I will still believe it's him, now and forever. I made the thread with the prayer that someone, somewhere would come up with footage of Vince singing it in the recording studio. That footage alone would be their best selling DVD of all time within minutes of its release.

I can't unhear Shane now. This thread is making me crack up. I haven't heard that version for years. I will never forgot the disappointment I had when I was 10 and I bought that CD to play as entrance music for my Jakks figures and that butchered version came on. I felt betrayed. lol oh man, 100% dead on. I was just like....what!? WHY!?

I wish I didn't have this CD boxed up in the attic or I would check the linear notes. I like the sax chorus, otherwise this is a horrid version of the song.

Should it not be on the CD somewhere?

When this came out, my cousin and I did our own version, with me playing the Shawn role. It was as awful as you would think. We also did a cover of Republica's "Drop Dead Gorgeous" and Bush's "Swallowed" that may have been worse.

This is correct - I've just come across this CD whilst looking for something else (the only way I could've possibly found the CD is by searching for something else) and the only notes for each song are just a quick quote apparently from the wrestler in question; nothing useful there. But there is a "Special Thanks to" section which lists 9 names - sadly neither Vince or Shane are listed there

I'm pretty sure that it's Michael P.S. Hayes actually. He was in the company at the time and it sounds like the same voice from the original Big Show theme which was him.
