Is it me or are most Indy wrestler shirts nowadays parodies of WWE shirts or just logos for other things with the wrestler's name crammed into it.
I've seen it a lot lately and I'm just curious. Is this all over the place or just like 2 dudes with a million shirts.

Yeah, the parody thing is driving me nuts. No one's original anymore.

It's mainly Kevin Steen. It seems like 90% of the shirts that dude has are a parody of something. I think he played a big part in the recent trend.

I think most indy shirts are done poorly. Not a lot of independent guys have shirts with a kick ass design.
To be fair though, Most of the T-Shirts from WWE, TNA, ROH etc are pretty poor as well.

Sure but atleast they try to make their own thing most of the time. Putting A name in Power Rangers font isn't that cool to me

It looks like this is becoming a pretty common thing. I've seen at least three parodying the Power Rangers logo alone, and I own one of them.

I think a big part of it is is that these guys don't have a multi million dollar company's merch design team making their stuff, and a lot of these guys aren't artists or graphic designers. They're just a bunch of nerds who wear their childhood and whatnot on their sleeve, so they run with it.
Is it a little over done? Possibly. But a good design that homages something I loved as a kid by a guy I like will definitely get my attention.
