This question just popped up in my mind today and Fella's upcoming booking situation will be interesting. During the last couple of months of his last run, he was strictly in the mid card feuding with Henry and Sandow so he was booked behind other faces like Punk/Cena/Bryan/Orton and now I see a similar thing for him. If Sheamus comes back as a face he will most likely be below these guys: Cena D-bryan Punk Batista (If he comes back as a face) Faces currently below Fella but will get more focus through out the year: Biggie Roman Reigns So I don't see much upward mobility for Fella as a babyface. Unless we see 2 of the top 4 face turn heel, I don't see him getting much time at the top. He probably be stuck in the same spot as he was before the injury which was upper mid-card face ala Big Show's spot. Now if he comes back as a heel there is a lot less competition for him. Heels who will most likely be higher on the totem pole: Randy Orton .... ...... Trips? .. Wyatts? Yea there is a much bigger need for a 2nd single wrestler heel in my opinion. As we clearly see this issue where Punk and Bryan have been forced to feud with stables rather than 1 single heel due to the lack of top level heels. The heels after that group is basically the Ryback/Fandango/Real American group who have potential but haven't reach that top level yet. I'm not saying I prefer the heel version but there is much more oppertunities for him to go back up the card on the heel side rather than the babyface side. He has potential news feuds with Bats or Punk, or use to elevate a babyface like Biggie or Reigns up the card. So yea leave comments on what you thinks and the first person to comment that they want Fella to be fired, I hope you step on a Lego.

He should turn heel simply cause of how much the crowd loathed him in 2013.
Also it be nice if he joined The Authority as HHH's handpicked member.

Maybe it's just me but Sheamus VS Big E for the Intercontinental title would be a hell of a match.

He should bully his way into becoming the #1 contender as a face;
Someone walks by Sheamus backstage, seeing him eating a bunch of cabbage. They ask him why he's eating cabbage. He says, "no reason, fella".
He then goads Randy Orton to the back after taunting him. Randy hears Sheamus yell from the bathroom. Orton enters and checks to see if he's hiding in one of the stalls.
Sheamus brogue kicks from behind Orton into the stall and holds the stall door shut. Orton begs to be let out because it smells so horrible in there (hence why Sheamus was eating cabbage). Sheamus says he's not going to let him out until he agrees to give him a title match at the next PPV. A panicked Orton agrees and Sheamus opens the stall door only to again brogue kick Orton in the face before walking away.

He's going to be a badass heel when he returns. Similar to his badass face routine except as a heel. I see him facing Batista, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk and a lot of others.
Sheamus might end up being the #1 heel this year.

WWE desperately needs a hero...so I'm guessing he comes back as a soccer hooligan.

Part of me wants to see Sheamus come back as a face and "redeem himself in the eyes of the WWE Universe" by helping Daniel Bryan.

Fella O'Flannigan. He's repackaged as Fella O'Flannigan. No way, the WWE would call him something closer to Ginger O'Irish.

I've got this idea that he Brogue Kicks the Bad News Barrett podium and knocks Barrett off. Bam, instant feud.

I've got this idea that he Brogue Kicks the Bad News Barrett podium and knocks Barrett off. Bam, instant feud. Bingo! Have a cigar! Seriously, though, with Batista coming in as a heel (those promos aren't for a face by any stretch), Sheamus is likely returning as a face, at least initially. If anything, the current main event scene skews heavily towards heels without Sheamus. Besides, Sheamus is popular with the kids on a level almost to rival Cena, and is generally good for high-margin merch sales.

Should be as a bad ass tough SOB who's really heelish but then gets uber popular with his no-nonsense, gimickless, toughness. A man's man and not in the William Regal sense. Just a plain-clothed tough-nut who likes to spend time at the bar in the day and beating people up at night. No time for entrance music or video or pyro or lights. He's just here to fight!
What he will be is some grinning babyface cretin.
