I was listening to Meltzer and Alvarez, and Alvarez made it sound like it was almost certain to be Hogan inducting Warrior. I'm not sure if this is based on actual conversations with WWE personnel or if he is just giving an obvious guess (like we've been doing). I thought it was funny how Meltzer chimed in (I'm paraphrasing) that if Hogan inducted him, Hogan would sort of have to hold his nose and would be disingenuous, doing it purely for business. Hogan is by far the wrestler most associated with Warrior, even if Savage and Rude were alive. However, Warrior has said some VERY negative things about Hogan. He released nearly an hour-long youtube video where he buries Hogan.

I do think Hogan inducting him is the most fitting and it would be a pretty cool moment to see and to close out the ceremony. I just dread the speech we will have to endure, it will hardly be the most emotional and heartfelt to end the show.

I suppose if Bruno and Vince can bury the hatchet, HHH can get Hogan and Warrior to do the same.

As I said in the other thread, I refuse to believe that is true. HHH worked hard to get Bruno inducted to make the HoF more legit in his eyes. I just can't see him approving of this stunt when there are so many others who deserve induction.
Does anyone really want Bob Orton Jr to get a second ring and then see Vader drop dead of a heart attack before ever being inducted?
It is such a waste of a segment.

I do wonder if when they do the video package talking about his Career, will some of the people on it praising him and saying what a great superstar he was be the same ones that were slagging him off on the Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior DVD

Ryback says he was asked to induct The Ultimate Warrior in the WWE Hall of Fame. He tweeted:
"Have been asked to officially induct the Ultimate Warrior. I am humbly honored thank you internet."

I can about guarantee that Warrior's speech will be heavily edited. I am very interested in what he has to say though.

I'd rather Hogan not induct him since it's well known that Warrior HATES Hogan. He recently made that clear. Just...get someone else. Hell, get Edge & Christian to do it since they were live in the crowd at WM6.

My first thought is that I don't like the idea of inducting a match into the Hall - it would seem ridiculous to me, and guys like Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart could end-up with about 20 rings between them (and how many would Triple H claim?) if they ran with the idea properly.
They could just make it a one-off anniversary induction, but they're still opening themselves up to pressure to induct other significant and much loved matches - though on the other hand Savage v. Steamboat at the HoF 2017 would at least finally get the former in there...

I was completely against Flair going in twice because he's already been recognized for his career, and since there's no criteria for going in, we're going to see the same people get inducted over and over and over. That's stupid. If they want to induct Mr. T. then just do it. That doesn't mean that Hogan and company can't be part of the HOF in some other capacity, but if they're trying to illicit attention so that people open their wallets, then the HOF is just no longer worthy of me to get excited for. Here, they get my attention by inducting Warrior, and then proceed to make it look like it's not a big deal by inducting a f***ing match. I can't wait for them to induct the Kliq like they were planning to do a while back. Or "the best version" of D-X, meaning everyone but Chyna. With the sheer amount of talent that still needs to be inducted, this is incredibly lazy.

Well if Andy Kaufman ever got inducted, who would induct him, Jerry Lawler or Jimmy Hart. Maybe one can induct him and the other one accepts for him.

Kaufman has living family and his longtime partner Lynne Margulies is still alive. Bob Zmuda could also help accept or appear as Tony Clifton. There are living celebrities that I'd like to go in. I'm not really clamoring for Kaufman to go in, though I am very familiar with his career and wrestling connection.
