No. While popular and about to become huge, Toby's career hadn't blown up to anywhere near it is now and he didn't have the from music but especially outside endeavors he has now. Also Without any t.v. contract, let alone one from a TNT or TBS type channel they weren't surviving. Also, don't forget those bloated contracts WCW had.

WCW would have died if Toby Keith had purchased it. The guy isn't a wrestling guy.

WCW might have lasted a little longer. Toby would still be serving time for killing his booker, Vince Russo, after he insist they try burning an American flag in the ring.
