I know, this will likely wind up being the most bloated thread in forum history. All the same, I just noticed a couple.
Why did Vince add the Rock to the WrestleMania 2000 title match? Rock had lost his claim to it, and more importantly, Vince wound up screwing him over anyway. The only real logic to it was if Vince thought Rock would be easier for Triple H to beat than Big Show, but even if that were the case (which itself doesn't make sense, since Big Show had to cheat to beat Rock)... Triple H won the title from him in the first place. It was by heavily stacking the deck, but he could've done that again.
Why didn't Bossman interfere in the Austin / Vince match at St. Valentine's Day Massacre? He had every reason in the world to, given if Austin lost he was main-eventing at WrestleMania.

Rick Rude in DX
He just didn't fit.

Why was Stephanie the heel for wanting revenge on Vince? After everything he did to her earlier in the year, she deserved to get some revenge.

I think you'd save a whole lot of time just compiling a short list of things that DID make sense in the attitude era. All of 1999 was just so ridiculously over the top and all over the place it was such a headache keeping up with everything and trying to make sense of things. That 45 minute long undertaker/big show promo about being in a desert or something?? WTF?!?!?!?!

Rikishi hitting Steve Austin w/ a car, and being Triple H's stooge.
Undertaker's story about ditching the Big Show in a desert for two days.
Kane and X-Pac being a tag team. Why?

I think Kane & X-Pac can be explained away as the first of the "let's give Kane a random tag team partner and call them an odd couple" tag team that happens with Kane every couple years. As for things that didn't make sense.
Mae Young gives birth to a hand. Still the stupidest thing that the WWE has ever put on their screen. Yes, even worse than Katie Vick. Only slightly, but still worse because at least that didn't involve having to watch an elderly woman give birth.

Billy Gunn winning King of the Ring and getting nothing out of it. At least Mabel got a title shot.

The lead-up to Survivor Series 1998. Vince sets out to screw over the Rock by having him face the likes of Ken Shamrock and Mark Henry so that he can't make it to the tournament, gets continually beaten up, then 6 days before the PPV Rock hits the Rock Bottom on Vince.
Then we get to the event and Rock still has to go through Shamrock, Undertaker and then a near 20-minute match with Mankind....just so Vince could turn on Foley and make Rock the corporate champion.
And that doesn't even factor in the nonsense with Shane. Some people say the turn was amazing, and it eventually led to an amazing short-lived heel run, but in reality it was nonsensical.

Maybe Vince just thought he'd make more money if he added Rock. Furthermore, he might have thought that Rock would take out Big Show for Triple H, basically, or maybe he had an inkling that Foley would be added, anyway. Not great reasoning, but it can be rationalized to a degree. As for the second, presumably he knew about Paul Wight and how he would interfere on Vince's behalf and thought he would not need to get involved, or that it might throw things off if he did.

I think Gunn was injured shortly after. I remember him coming back and doing an angle with Edge who'd won the next King of the Ring basically saying "where's my title shot" or something like that. My memories of that era are fuzzy but I was the perfect age for enjoying it all, especially with the fantastic n64 wrestling games.

Do we know that Vince and Rock were in cahoots from day one? Maybe Rock basically decided he wanted in on the winning team, getting to his match with Mankind and signing himself over to Vince beforehand, Otherwise, yeah, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, outside of Vince maybe just loving to f*** with people.

Earlier in the evening Vince sent out Bossman to face Rock, who then proceeded to get beat in 3 seconds, so I think it was a plan all along. However, it's made all the more confusing when you consider that during his match with 'Taker, Rock got absolutely no help what-so-ever and had to rely on Kane getting 'Taker disqualified just to advance. I don't even want to analyse it any further, it makes my brain hurt.

So Owen Hart breaks Dan Severn's neck and feels bad about it and retires or some shit so he can be the Blue Blazer, but then it turns out Severn's neck was fine the whole time and it was some conspiracy to beat up Steve Blackman for some reason, but Owen kept on being the Blazer even though Severn revealed his neck wasn't actually hurt. And it was implied that Owen and Severn were in cahoots the whole time, which makes no sense at all because Hart attacked Severn in a neck brace which led to Blackman making the save. What the F*** did Owen get out of that whole thing? {Spoiler}Other than dying

Yeah '99 kinda sucked. Also Triple H being dropped out of a forklift but showing up weeks later unharmed.
