Tenay sucks. Taz does well when he cares but he obviously doesn't care. JB is passable but is rarely ever used. I'm so sick of TNA's commentary and Keneley was such a breath of fresh air. Please, Dixie, if you're reading this, please sign Keneley back. Someone who actually cares about the action in the ring while being talented and capable of entertaining banter.

I was hoping maybe Jarrett would scoop him up.

Tenay isn't leaving. You may have someone join them as a 3 man team but Tenay is a TNA loyalist and they're loyal to him. Been there since day 1.

I miss Keneley too. When he first came in I wasn't convinced but once he settled in he was easily the best commentator in TNA (I know that's hard when you're stuck next to Tenay and Taz but still). It's ridiculous how few truly good commentators there are these days. There's only two good commentators in the top three North American promotions, it's ridiculous.
I'd love Keneley to come back though.

Poor Todd. Tenay and Taz were giant dicks to him because they knew he was being groomed to eventually replace one or both of them. So they spent their time tearing him down so management wouldn't keep him around. Their plan worked. He lasted longer than Gilbert Corsey who got one and done at BFG.

He was competent and his voice reminded me of Joey Styles. Way too overqualified for TNA!

I don't know, I don't think he was actually that good. He just seemed good in comparison to Taz & Tenay.
There's better choices out there if they decide to expand/replace their announce team down the line.

I want the 3 man team of gives no f***s Taz, bored Tenay, and overenthusiastic Don West. They're the original odd couple.

(please do not read sarcasm into this, I mean it) Jim Ross (Don't know if he's retired as an announcer or if he'd be willing to come back) Scott Hudson (Probably debatable but I feel he's better than Tenay) Todd Grisham (Again, probably debatable but I have a soft spot for Grish) Apart from those three there aren't a lot of better options out there.

TNA should try some of their wrestlers at the announce desk. Surely they have someone that could be decent.

(please do not read sarcasm into this, I mean it) I certainly feel there's better options out there, JR being the biggest option even if it's incredibly unlikely that he'll ever show up, he's always a good option. Matt Striker CAN be very good at the announce table. He just needs the right material. While in WWE, I found him mostly unbearable. Outside of the company though I feel he's shined through a lot more and he has the knowledge needed about the business to be a good, genuine commentator. I feel a more relaxed environment would suit him more than the world of WWE. I might be alone in this one, but I am also quite fond of the work of Denver Colorado (the man, not the place). I would like to compare him to the younger version of Joey Styles; loud, obnoxious, and very passionate. I am normally not a huge fan of that style but he entertains me greatly.

JR would be very difficult to get. Grish I think is in the kind of position where if he were to want to return to wrestling for whatever reason he would have an open door at the WWE, and would likely never show up in TNA. I get the feeling that he's not in WWE not because they don't want him, but because he doesn't want to be there.
Striker is a color guy in my eyes, but I've never heard him on pure play by play. I am quite surprised Striker hasn't shown up in TNA in some capacity yet, actually. He SHOULD replace Taz but... I'm not sure how much better Tenay/Striker would be. In fact Striker/Taz with Striker trying his hand at the play by play role sounds more appealing. Striker/JB (with Tenay as the "trivia machine third man" everyone always talks about as a possibility if he really refuses to retire) could be cool too.
I'll take almost ANYTHING over Tenay/Taz at this point though, even if its just a third man to add freshness. Though preferably it would be Taz fired (or made a road agent or something), Tenay fired or relegated to third man, and then... I guess my ideal would be Kenely/Striker personally.
I had kind of forgotten about Striker, and he is a clear possibility that could fit in either play by play (theoretically anyway) or color that could really save the anouncer desk.

But seriously I would not go around counting Todd Grisham as a free agent. I always liked him as an announcer too, but he's got an solid ESPN job now. I hardly would call that "being a free agent". The amount of money TNA would have to throw at him to tear him away from THAT job would be... well way out of their price range for one.

License to print money, TNA. They would need two announcers tables. One for Todd and other for everyone else.
