I have no rooting interest what so ever. So go.........football? As always, football will be the big winner on the night. But also, the team that wins the Super Bowl will be the big winner too. Thank you, Phil Simms.

I bet ESPN is licking their lips at the thought of another Skip Bayless-Richard Sherman First Take interaction between now and two weeks from today.

Oh and San Francisco fans, remember when you put these ads up against Seattle. Yeah, you wanna know why the Seattle fans at the arena were douchebags, this might be why. San Francisco fans being douchebags does not excuse Seattle fans for being the same. No, but San Francisco fans should not be calling out Seattle fans for being douchebags. Sometimes you have to take your own medicine and that was the medicine that was dealt for putting up those stupid ass signs. It's why as a Panthers fan, I did not get pissed when Kaep and his gang did that Superman pose against the Panthers. Sure I had other reasons, but I knew that we were a taunting team to and the other team throwing it in your face is going to happen. Just the way it is.

I fully expect them to put DeMaryius Thomas on Sherman, which frees up our 53 tight ends, Welker, and Decker to catch it deep down field; never mind the fact that Moreno is a threat in the passing game, as well. I'm not saying we're going to win for sure, but I'm very confident that the Broncos can pull this one off. If our run defense hadn't looked so good lately I might feel different, but I feel we match up very well with them. Yeah problem is the entire defensive backfield is pretty decent at worst. Denver certainly hasn't been lighting it up the way they did earlier this season. Reeks of Pats 2007, and they're finally going up against a legit bad ass defense and they're likely to get their clocks cleaned. Denver put up some gaudy numbers this year against the #28, #29(twice), #30, #24, #18,#17 defenses, but averaged 26 PPG against the rest of the league this season. They haven't played a top 4 defense all season. They're 3-2 aganst top 10 defenses. They're going up against a beast they haven't even dreamed of encountering this season. The defense is mediocre to bad. Moreno is banged up they're going to have to throw, throw throw into that scary secondary while Manning has a gang if ruthless a-holes in his face all game.

I think Seattle beats the piss out of Denver. The Broncos haven't exactly been offensive world beaters when playing against legit professional football teams. Certainly not on the same scale of earlier this season. I can't say they'll have difficulty scoring, but it's hard to imagine they'll be lighting the scoreboard up to the tune of 30+ against the best defense in football. Seattle is going to pound and pound and pound. I think Denver eventually collapses and Seattle wins this one going away. On the other hand, Seattle's offense has looked pretty bad lately even at home. Denver's defense has done well enough to stop NE and San Diego (who I think were better offensively than Seattle right now) outside of the fourth quarter where John Fox switches to that stupid prevent defense and makes the games seem closer than they really were. Seattle's defense is legit, but I can see Peyton lighting it up on them and they won't have the 12th Man to help 'em out. And a close game if he can't. A Seattle blowout is probably the least likely thing that happens unless they get a lot of defensive points or they remember how to play offense in the next two weeks. Anyway, rooting for Denver because Peyton's my QB's older brother. And because I don't like Seattle or their coach that much.

So where are people getting this idea that Peyton would retire if he won it all?
Dude should most likely break Favre's all time passing record next year. Dude isn't going anywhere, yet.

Because there's rumors floating he's got a bad neck, and because if he won he'd really have nowhere to go but down.

There are stories that whether or not he comes back is going to depend on how his off season physicals (particularly the evaluation of his neck) goes. So I'm guessing theidea is, if he gets another ring, it's less incentive to come back if he's worried about his health.

Moreno's X-ray came back negative so he should be good, and I think Peyton and this receiving core matches up very well with the Legion of Boom. I'm not saying it'll be easy, but I think we have more of a chance than you realize. This isn't a team of chumps who're getting led to the slaughter, this is the best Bronco team there's been since the late 90's and it's the reason we're in the Super Bowl. Seattle's offense has been trash lately outside of Beast Mode, so we match up very well on both sides of the ball. I'm not expecting Manning to throw for 400 yards like he did today, but you're not giving Denver enough credit and you're giving Seattle way too much. Kaepernick did okay against the LoB, so I'm sure Peyton will be fine. I'm sure the media will come up with a million reasons why the Broncos will lose, but nothing can ruin my mood right now. I've never gotten to see this Bronco team in the Super Bowl (I was 6 last time they went) so I'm excited as all hell.

It's important to remember that the gap between the defenses Seattle has played, and the one's that Denver has played, spans most of the known universe.
Also, yes, NO's defense was pretty good this year. Surprising but true.

Yeah, I agree. I think somebody here said it, or maybe I read it on the Broncos sub-reddit, but Peyton didn't have all of the reconstructive surgery and completely relearn how to throw a football to come back for a couple seasons. Win or lose, I think Peyton has 3 more years left in him.

Until he starts sending pictures of his penis to gridiron rats, I think having a season where they lose in the post season, yet he still gets the numbers is still impressive. I don't see Denver collapsing next year, although if they won this year, I don't see them repeating. Not everyone has to retire like Elway. It would be a poetic finish, but it's not needed to close this chapter on his career.

Also, yes, NO's defense was pretty good this year. Surprising but true. Teams don't get to pick their schedule, so the whole "yeah, but, they were never TRULY tested!" argument does nothing for me. We have the two number 1 seeds in football in the Super Bowl; Denver's just as deserving as Seattle, people.

Kaepernick did okay because he can scramble, Peyton has zero escapability. If the Seahawks hit Peyton early and often he'll throw bad passes and eventually quit. It's the story of his career going all the way back to his days at Tennessee. He wants no part of getting roughed up.

You have a very jaded, biased opinion of how Denver is portrayed by the fans and media. It just has no basis in reality. Again, Denver hasn't been setting the world on fire offensively, and this is the weakest defense the Seahawks have faced since the Giants in early December. Denver hasn't faced great defense, the best they went up against this year was the fraudulent Kansas City defense. This is a beast they haven't touched all season.
