Just think if twitter was around the late 80's and 90's of the NBA. There was some trash talk for you
They for sure would have hated Charles Oakley

I didn't see the post game interview and I have absolutely zero desire to watch it. I do agree that Richard Sherman is a disgrace but not based on the interview. The man has shown no class since he came into the league. He's a great player but the way he carries himself negates all of that to me. He reminds me of Tyrann Mathieu when he was at LSU. A guy with all the talent in the world but showed zero class. Mathieu seems to have matured since he came into the league but Sherman hasn't shown any maturity. He wants to lay the blame on others as to why he slipped to the fifth round. Maybe it was because other teams saw the attitude problems he had and didn't want to risk using a high draft pick on him. Again, I think the guy is talented but he has a history of acting like a sore winner. I wouldn't want my kids looking up to someone like him.

Sherman on Twitter:

I have zero problems with Sherman's postgame wrestling promo-esque interview. My problem was the shit-talking he got flagged for after making the game-winning pick off Kaepernick. I hated when the Niners pulled that shit against the Panthers last week, especially Boldin. And I probably would've hated Crabtree if he made the TD catch as he likely would've done the same thing to Sherman.
But the people making racist comments about him on Twitter are morons.

Sherman on Twitter: A lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of a sheep. There he goes again, absolutely no class. Won't you please think of the children Richard? You're influencing them to go around quoting Game of Thrones.

Should Seattle win, there is a good chance the 2014 season opens with a Super Bowl rematch.

Chris Hairston & Tank Carder. That's what Buffalo got when they traded Marshawn Lynch.
A guy whom I thought little of when he got sent packing became a god in Seattle AND GOT A f***ING BURGER MADE IN HIS HONOR!

San Francisco fans being douchebags does not excuse Seattle fans for being the same. No, but San Francisco fans should not be calling out Seattle fans for being douchebags. Sometimes you have to take your own medicine and that was the medicine that was dealt for putting up those stupid ass signs. Just for the sake of anecdata, I was in Seattle this weekend (just for tourism, not for anything football-related... although coincidentally, they were the team that I picked semi-randomly for our office pool to win the Superbowl! Beginner's luck, woo), and the 49ers fans started rolling in on Saturday afternoon. They were screaming in the streets, honking, and harassing and glowering at people in Seahawks colors, and I was surprised to see the Seahawks fans kind of shrug it off. There wasn't any heated back and forth... just 49ers fans yelling and Seahawks fans walking by them without response. Obviously being such a hardcore fan that you come to another city to cheer your team predisposes you more toward those kinds of gestures than just being a casual fan spending your Saturday downtown in your home city, but I'd heard some bad things about Seahawks fans, and thought it was nice that the ones I saw seemed really laid back.

I'd much rather see the NFL levy fines for a show like Sherman put on at the end of the game then for a nice Good hard football hit

The trash talk, assholery, etc would have been a joy to watch. Today's media would have eaten Babe Ruth alive. No way would he have been elevated to mythical status the way he was back then, there'd be too much juicy dirt regarding his womanizing and partying. And that's not getting into his confrontations with umpires and hecklers, people would be calling for him to be banned from the game. Well, there were probably plenty in the 1920s who wanted him banned anyway, but in the Twitter era? Whoo.

I've got no problem with what Sherman said, although I do think Crabtree's a better receiver than Sherman gives him credit for, I have a problem with Seattle players getting suspended for PEDs. I just wish Twitter was around for Michael Jordan's playing days. The trash talk, assholery, etc would have been a joy to watch. Today's media would have eaten Babe Ruth alive. I say this as a Yankees fan, nobody in baseball has ever had their legacy as protected as Ruth. Writers worshiped him and wouldn't write bad stuff about him, Ford Frick f***ed Roger Maris out of a record he rightfully should have had, and everyone still holds him up as what's right with baseball. They'll ignore that the reason corked bats are banned is because of Ruth, that he's suspected of injecting animal hormones, and do everything to tear down other players stats, but Ruth playing in segregated baseball was fine, because that was the time.

As much as people seemingly want it on the Twitterverse, I don't foresee a fine in Sherman's future. If his speech was laced in profanity or he mocked Bowman or something, maybe, but what he said was incredibly innocent and rooted in passion.
If he gets fined, that's seriously f***ed up.

Not even close.

The only real possible negative consequence is that Sherman might have put a little too much pressure on himself than needs to be. He's going to be public enemy number 1 in the media and if he goats it up in Jersey, they're going to have a field day with him. Not that he cares one bit but still. There won't be a fine, nor should there be. Again, as much as I disagreed with what he did, that's not fineable in any way, shape, or form.

Perhaps Stink should go down the hall and have a conversation with Steve Young.
