Kinda what I thought; not really seeing the 'sexualization' there, certainly not to the extent of the complaints. Yeah they're aged up, but it's not as if they're in "sexy" poses or whatever. One good thing came of it, I'd never seen that Superfriends ad before that story, so that's cool. The sexualization, at least to me, was the giving them boobs and shapely hips. The clothes isn't factored into that for me. And Blossom's ass. You can see her ass.

I came into this thread expecting it to be about soccer moms overreacting to something minor, but this? Wow... Yeah. Really, uncomfortable with that cover.

If their suppose to be kids in that pic than yeah it's abit odd.
If their suppose to be adults there than I don't see what the problem is.

The rubber/spandex was probably a bad idea.

And Blossom's ass. You can see her ass. It's her leg. She's sitting on her ass. Upon closer inspection. It's still her ass. She's sitting on the edge of Mojo Jojo's head (Which has its own suggestive eww factor). Her skirt is riding up. It's particularly the part of the ass that begins once the leg ends. Assuming it's not her ass--it's supposed to be the illusion of her ass. Either way, it's still trying to get you to look/imagine the hot ass of a character who's a kindergartener who appeals to young girls. The judgment is questionable at best.

Just called my step daughter into the room. She's 5. For X-Mas I got her the box set of PPG series. She is a fan. Her response to the cover:
"oooo they're pretty"
So there's that. Not sure what that adds to the discussion but she didn't seem to mind.

Yeah because the adult Powerful Puff Girls are going to want to keep wearing short skirts with leggings/boots that don't reach the bottom of the skirt.
Give me a break.

I think it's pretty cool. I don't really understand the complaints. We regularly see comics with covers depicting stuff that never happens in them, this is just another occurance. Also is don't think we can really get into the morals of depicting young kids like this when this picture is clearly an older interpretation of the characters.
In fact the only thing I'm creeped out over is why their faces were drawn to look like E.T.'s.

And that's probably what makes it so uncomfortable for me to look at: it's downright creepy.

Blossom looks a lot like Claire Redfield in that.

I find it really disturbing, and it has nothing to do with sexualizing anyone. I was expecting some anime harem stuff from the responses here, and it's actually perfectly tame. Those faces creep me right the f*** out, though.

The art isn't very good and the idea of the cover itself rubs me the wrong way, considering they're kindergartners. I have no problems with this being pulled.

Is there a remote at the end of the couch? Because there sure is a lot of reaching going on in this thread.

It doesn't offend me.
They're being presented as though they're teenagers or whatever is all.
You can tell they did kind of try and sex them up though and that really wasn't necessary. They could and probably should have just went for cute.
They scrapped it. I see why. No big deal.

Does not offend me I just take it at face value as displaying grown versions.

Horrendously thin.
That's the real problem. I mean, age them up, but jeez.
