She aged up elementary school girls......that's not cool.
If the comic was about the PPG being in middle or high school? Sure the cover is fine and fits. If it was them while they are still in elementary school, then no. That's creepy as hell!

Still shocked that was going to be a REAL PPG comic cover
Also, the comic is pretty good. If you like the show, you're getting a fun representation of the series with what is currently a long, well done arc

Wearing dresses is "revealing"? You can pretty much see Blossum's ass. Yeah, it's pretty revealing. It's also sexing up (fictional) kindergarteners.

Wearing dresses is "revealing"? Kinda what I thought; not really seeing the 'sexualization' there, certainly not to the extent of the complaints. Yeah they're aged up, but it's not as if they're in "sexy" poses or whatever. One good thing came of it, I'd never seen that Superfriends ad before that story, so that's cool.

The sexualization, at least to me, was the giving them boobs and shapely hips. The clothes isn't factored into that for me.

The cover is what is used to sell the comic, yeah? So you have this comic with sexy aged up PPGs on the front, kinda sets the idea that the PPGs on the inside would be sexy aged up PPGs as well. I don't have an issue with the cover in and of itself. I have issue with it being attached to a comic that has them still in elementary schools. Put it on a comic with them as aged up as they are in the cover? No beef from me. Basically I just think they put the cover on the wrong kind of PPG comic.

I think the picture is cute and I saved a copy for myself. However, I'm not going to shout down anyone that finds an issue with this pic.

It is pretty offensive if you take into account that the Powerpuff Girls is a show that is aimed towards girls in the 4-10 age bracket.
Despite it being offensive can you blame them for trying it though? My Little Pony is a show for little girls in a similar age bracket and guys in their twenties and thirties around the world not only watch the show but some of them are attracted to the characters on the show as well.
I think in 10 years this type of thing will go from being offensive to normal.

There's really nothing overtly sexual about the cover at all. Its just an artist's conception of how they would look as young women. Neither their poses nor their expressions are provocative. If people had no idea of the source material that inspired the drawings, no one would have a problem with them.
