Some indy fans are pretty dumb...they think they're celebrities.

There was a guy who goes to the Shimmer tapings who doesn't seem to know it's all a work. He literally despises Portia Perez and constantly shouts "SHE CHEATED!! REF! SHE CHEATED!" He must wonder how the refs keep their jobs. There was one moment in October when Nevaeh told 3G that she was half of the first ever tag team champions and he began to shout "NO YOU WEREN'T! YOU WEREN'T!" Before a fan turned round to him and said "...she was."

I know I've probably bought this up before, but at a house I attended, Del Rio/Show was the main event. It was a pretty fun last man standing match actually, but some idiot fans started chanting "You can't wrestle" at Show. After doing this for most of the match, both guys on are the outside and near my section where the chant originated. Show looks at the guy and says:'
"I don't need to wrestle, I knock people out and I after I knock Del Rio out, I'm knocking you out."
Everybody laughed, except for the guy who started to complain to security about Show threatening him. He is actually having a hissy fit that somebody said something back to him considering this guy spent all day heckling the heels.

My first Indy show. Fresh off being fired from the E Buff Bagwell pulls up in a stretch limo, in the middle of a field. Some drunk guy starts yelling where's Stone Cold and Where's my Triple H. It went on for like 20 minutes. Dude your at an Indy show in the middle of a field with like 30 people.
The other was another Indy show, same company. This one kid, maybe 9 or 10 kept throwing pennies at the wrestlers. Like beaming them at them. He yelled faggot a couple of times. Annoyed the shit out of everyone.

I had a guy at Fatal-4-Way in front of us only cheering people who used to be in TNA and talking about how much better TNA is than WWE and trying to explain to a mom and her kids why John Cena isn't all that great Did Dixie know what Serj in a false mustache was up to?

This might sound really dickish, but here it goes.
Uneducated marks. I know, I know. If a WWE crowd was full of smarks, it would be awful (unless it's the night after WrestleMania). But all of the WWE shows I've been too, I have just been seated admist some of the worst conversations ever.
In July 2002, I had to hear people speculate on how Stone Cold Steve Austin didn't really walk out and how it was all a work and how he was going to do this or that and it was all ridiculous sounding. Oh, in April 2003, I had to hear a million theories about how Jeff Hardy was going to return to beat Triple H for the World Title. I had to hear how they were going to reform DX or nWo with Nash, Shawn & Booker T. Oh, I was at the RAW where the Road Warriors returned for One Night Only, and there was speculation that they were not the real Road Warriors "because clearly they've been dead for years".
The most recent RAW I went to in 2012 in Philly had the Zack Ryder Rally to be on Team Teddy outside and holy shit. MARKS EVERYWHERE. And alot of cosplay enthusiasts which ranged from "oh hey cool" to "oh my god that is insanely creepy".
I don't want to go to a baseball game and hear theories about how the Curse of the Bambino was just a work to make 2004 dramatic for the Sox. I don't want to go to a wrestling event and hear your stupid, crackpot theories. Shut up and watch the show.

I don't want to go to a wrestling event and hear your stupid, crackpot theories. Shut up and watch the show. Dude, not to be a dick, but... You're on a wrestling message board. This is exactly what all of us do here everyday. We sit in front of our computers, and discuss our ideas, feelings, and theories involving a business that we think we're smart to, yet hardly any of us are actually involved with. Just because these people may not be as "smart" to the business as you deem yourself to be doesn't make their discussions of it any less valid. Just like any other TV show or movie you watch, these people are simply discussing something they enjoy. The entire idea of the business of wrestling is to entertain people, and keep them guessing as to what will happen next. That speculative aspect is crucial in guaranteeing that the people continue to watch. As much as us "smarks" like to think we're the majority, we're not. Not even close. Without these folks who simply wish to enjoy the show, there would be no wrestling business at all to enjoy, regardless of your perspective on it. The way I see it, these folks have it right; they enjoy the show for what it is: A show. In fact, I sometimes regret the fact that I made myself smart to the business (and even got involved in it), because it has taken away my ability to suspend my disbelief and enjoy it for the truly entertaining art form and spectacle that it is. And the Austin theory you mentioned? There are people on this same forum right now who are saying the EXACT same thing about the Punk situation. So much for us being smart, huh? The truth is, if you don't want to associate yourself with these people, or have to hear them talk about it in the same way every other person discusses their favorite form of entertainment, then you need to keep out of the live crowd yourself. You are the minority there, not them. You're in their domain.
