It's too early to tell, ask me in April and I'll be able to say for sure. As of right now? It's possible.

Never say never...but I'm just gonna go ahead and say no. I'm fully expecting TNA to keep being terrible until they go out of business.

I would like to say yes, but I can't say that with any certainty.

If tna improves, what will happen to the Impact thread? Those poor people! The TNA thread was around during the good times and the bad. It was around when the BFG Series was booked good and when it was a confusing pile of shit. When the Holy Trinity of X was putting TNA on the map and when Double J got told to take his hat and coat and leave. When the Pounce and the Bentley Bounce had the crowd rocking. But I'm sure some will still keep the mentality that everyone is out to pick on poor lil TNA because it fits their battle cry.

You have people declaring everything is shit but still showing up every week. Plus Aces and Eight and Claire Lynch was bad.

True, but people who defend WWE don't get called out like people who defend TNA. Plus, I agree that for the most part the Aces & 8's and Claire Lynch storylines did suck(the first like 3 months & the first few weeks after Lockdown of Aces & 8's was good & the last few weeks of the Claire Lynch angle, when they just stopped taking it seriously, was good).

If tna improves, what will happen to the Impact thread? Those poor people! If you actually read the thread and didn't make snide comments about it after the thread was over you would understand we poke fun at it and also make some serious points, its not just trashing TNA. I have even pointed out that the large amount of run in endings have ruined Magnus, there is serious discussion amongst the jokes. All of the show threads have jokes plus discussion

You must not read the threads defending the Daniel Bryan joining the Wyatts or anything Authority or Big Show related. Makes defending Magnus' title run look like a walk in the park. The point being there is always going to be detractors. Just like there will be supporters. I thought WCW 1999-2001 was great and defended the company like it was my momma. I'm sure there are people who absolutely love everything about current TNA.

I liked 2009. A lot.
TNA got me back after a 2 year break (I started not enjoying the product with the Russo comeback post-BFG 2006 and quit watching altogether after Victory Road 2007).
So I'm gonna guess NO.

All of the show threads have jokes plus discussion And if you actually read what I post on the end of the impact threads, you would see that I don't just make joking remarks(you can look right at the recent Genesis thread). The thing I'm pointing out is that some people act as if every single aspect of an Impact is the worst they've ever seen. And that every impact that recently airs is the worst in tna's history. I'm well aware of the clusterf*** finishes and the constant yapping of Dixie Carter. It's far from perfect. I'm not gonna blindly defend huge parts that are bad. I have no problem with people not liking what I say. I'd just appreciate not being lied about.

I can understand why someone would think 2014 would be better than TNA 2009. The IWC thought process of "Good matches>Everything else" would make TNA the stand out company in 2014 with their great pure wrestling roster which is probably up there as best in the world.
In reality TNA would need a complete roster overhaul which would include firing guys like Angle, Daniels, Roode and Joe to become fresh and interesting like it was in 2009.

I agree that a complete roster overhaul would be great for the company, but the IWC doesn't think great matches>everything else. The IWC (whatever that means in 2014) generally loves EC3 and his matches are only so-so. The hardcore wrestling fans just want entertaining characters who can at least work a decent match and whose wrestling style is informed by that character. That being said - I think TNA is on the cusp of something and have the potential to become something better than they were in 2009. With WWE snapping up Hogan, Sting and possibly Angle, its a step in the right direction. More new blood (not just popular indie workers, but a good mix of them and guys who didn't work out in WWE developmental and overseas talent) would do wonders for the product this year. That and a face WRESTLER (not another authority figure) triumphantly sending Dixie packing and off TNA TV.
