So, yeah, a lot of people are no doubt rightfully pissed and annoyed about this year's result, but what's even worse than not having Bryan on the Rumble? Not caring about some of the other wrestlers, either.
Basically, WWE just pulled a major double whammy on the negative side. Bryan not being on the Rumble = fans not only not caring about the match, but also not caring other wrestlers, especially Roman Reigns, who eliminated 12 people, but no one cared. It's like with Bryan never appearing on the Rumble, everyone else who's just as new as him got phased out. The Shield, Big E, Antonio Cesaro, yeah, crowd was way into Daniel Bryan to even care about other new wrestlers.
It's like the crowd are crapping on new wrestlers as well, as apparently further punishment from the crowd on something, but still, it's not their fault. What I'm trying to say is, that it seems that even new people who are getting slight pushes on having mid-card belts are screwed due to this. That's how bad it's gotten, it seems.
(Sigh) And yes, I still enjoyed the Royal Rumble match. I got majorly uncomfortable by the time the booing started, because they were never this hostile. It's like they're booing at my favourite match type while I'm trying to have fun. Felt like a chop to my gut. Yeah, I was annoyed DB didn't appear, but taking out on other wrestlers that had nothing to do with all this just doesn't seem fair, but regardless, maybe that's the punishment WWE got. By screwing their most over talent, they accidentally screwed their other new talent, as well, who, again, don't really deserve it. They basically just got caught up.

I found the Rumble match itself very poorly booked. It let down the PPV. The other matches were very entertaining.

Reigns had the fans chanting his name at one point.

They chanted his name. They went bananas when he speared Batista. They booed the crap out of Batista when he got offense in and eliminated him. Crowd popped big time when he howled...
Sorry dude, but while the essence of your point is alright, you got your facts wrong.

Blame the WWE. The crowd wanted Bryan in the rumble and they we're angry they didn't get him. They expressed their disapproval by booing nigh everyone who wasn't what they wanted.

I don't know about the crowd, but I was rooting for all three of The Shield, Ziggler, Usos and even Sandow.
It's just that, with the exception of The Shield, WWE don't care about them.
It sucks because I thought Ziggler was really good, and the pop he got when he came out along with the 'Let's go Ziggler!' chants was really good to her.

Um, no? Rey got unjustly crapped out, granted, and I admit this as someone who wishes he'd just leave. But when Cesaro hit his swing, people cheered. Every time Reigns speared someone, they cheered, and at the end they even chanted his name in a display of support for him to be the last guy in the ring. Shit, when Ziggler came out he even got a decent pop.

You are right that the anger and resentment overshadowed what was to be a starting point to Reigns' ascension towards the top of the totem pole. And it did tarnish alot of what was fun and interesting about the match though..
Some of it has to do with the commentary booth too if you ask me. They really didn't react all that much to Reigns knocking out both his partners, or Punk getting screwed out by magical appearing Kane. Could have been because everything was so rushed as of that point, or because they too were mindf***ed by the way the crowd was handling their discontent. Who knows...

I just dont know why they bother making Kofi Kingston do some crazy stuff every year. He never even comes close to winning and probably never will even be in the final two much less win so whats the point?

Pros: - JBL was right in saying B.Wyatt/D.Bryan absolutely stole the show - JBL's entry and exit of the Rumble - Roman Reigns - KEVIN NASH!!!! - The crowd shitting on the show as much as I was watching it - Cena's trolling
Cons: - Cena/Orton - Sheamus making it into the final four - Sheamus eliminating Big E, as he's being groomed, and lasting so little time in the match can't help his push - No D.Bryan in the Rumble; the pop would've been massive - Batista winning, his star aint that damn bright that he shold get hot shotted to what's now known as Snore-a-mania's main event - CM Punk spending most of the Rumble on his back

IMO, ironically, Batista prevented Reigns from having a Batista moment.
