"...and ironically that was at the Royal Rumble event back in 2002!"
I'm not usually one to rag on King, but could he have got that more wrong?

He was the first person to 'beat' Brock and it happened in 2002 so for King that's pretty impressive. At least they acknowledge that they had both faced off before.

Have there ever been a winner from all 30 Royal Rumble spots in the 26 Royal Rumbles we've had?

JBL was actually back to being bearable because of how much he ripped Cole and Lawler apart yesterday. At least for the thing lonewolf mentioned, especially when Cole said "You have too much free time on your hands." Yeah, god forbid JBL do his job.

In all fairness they did fight at the 03 Rumble (with Lesnar winning) and I think Lawler remembered that but mixed it up with their Survivor series match.

Yeah I can't stand JBL but last night was the most bearable the commentary has been in a while. I kind of liked JBL reading out the entrant number facts.

I'm not usually one to rag on King, but could he have got that more wrong? Well, he could have said he was defeated by a pelican at Superbrawl 7, so...

Last night JBL did the best commentary he's done since he came back, it was fantastic.
Also, I actually enjoyed what I think was a genuine laugh when Cole miscounted how many people were in the ring and accidentally implied that Rollins was a non-factor, and King pointed it out, and they chuckled at it and Cole admitted he was trying to cover his ass. It was a genuine moment of mild amusement and it was like OH MY GOD REAL PEOPLE REACTING TO THINGS.
Remember when commentators didn't lampshade everything? Like when Cole was talking about Miz when he entered the ring, saying 'MIZ SAYS THIS MIZ SAYS THAT' instead of 'Miz has seemingly had something to prove since x y and z happened to him.'
