That's right, Bryan Danielson lost the FIP Heavyweight Title last night in Inverness, Florida to none other than Roderick Strong. What? You thought I meant the ROH title? Woops! ;D I knew I wouldn't get that many people looking at this thread if it was just about FIP Here's the rest of the results from Gerweck.net: Jerrelle Clark d. Bino Gambino. Jack Manley d. Jake Manning and Pelle Primeau in a Three Way Elimination Match. Canadian Cougar d. Shane Haggadorn. Davey Richards d. Shingo. Steve Madison & Chasyn Rance d. Rhett Titus & Alex Payne. Sal Rinauro & Kenny King d. Erick Stevens & Seth Delay. FIP Tag Team Champions The Briscoe Brothers d. The Heartbreak Express and The Black Market in a No Disqualification Elimination Match to retain thir titles. Roderick Strong d. Bryan Danielson to become the new FIP Heavyweight Champion.

And here I thought that by dropping the ROH belt the Dragon would soon be seen in a WWE ring taking the masterlock challenge or being fed to Umaga's streak. Thanks for the near heart attack.

Now you see why it was a lot more fun to be ambiguous about the title lol
This is a pretty big deal though since he has had the FIP Title since January when he defeated Homicide (who had it since September of 2004.)
So that makes Roderick Strong the 3rd FIP Champion EVER

Danielson is one tough SOB working through this shoulder injury. I still think it'll be a miracle if he makes it all the way to Final Battle. But if he didn't drop the belt to KENTA maybe I'm wrong.

now i like ROH but i bought a FIP DVD....The Usual Suspects or Whatever and I didnt really like it that much.....I was really dissapointed with a tag team match that featured Brian Kendrick and CM Punk which should of been good but I cut off after about 5 minutes or so because it was hard to watch......sorry but FIP....not for me

How did Pelle look in the elimination? Although FIP elimination matches seem to have a reputation of being even worse than ROH Four Corner Survivals.
Interesting to see so many ROH students on the card. Titus & Payne aren't that BAD, for one, although I imagine it must be irritating to see them on the main show along with Hagadorn and Pelle.

I wasn't actually at this show so I can't really give you an answer to that. But I'm glad to at least find out that these are all ROH students because I was scratching my head at a lot of these names. It was definitely a night where a lot of FIP staples were missing.

I dunno why ROh doesnt book Seth delay more, hes real good, id like to see him team with Matt Cross. He almost killed himself at the show I went to. He was facing Alex Porteau and went for a dive, almost literally turned into a suicide dive. He misjudged his leap and if I remember correctly, his head and neck hit the ground and guard rail simultaneously. Porteau looked scared.
