No pictures out yet, but Mega Latios and Latias are finally being acknowledged, and they've announced Mega Pidgeot and Beedrill.

Mega Beedrill looks like a Japanese Giant Hornet. In other words, badass.

Mega Beedrill is going to be a dragon/poison type while Mega Pidgeot is a electric/flying type.
EDIT: Nvm, got the info from bulbapedia twitter but I'm guessing they called it too soon.

Mega Beedrill is going to be a dragon/poison type while Mega Pidgeot is a electric/flying type. Serebii says it's Normal / Flying still. If it is an Electric type, replaces Pikachu as the first in the Pokedex.

Beedrill sounds like the oddest choice of pokemon to mega Beedrill seems like the sort that should be getting it. I'd much rather it go to popular but utterly useless Pokemon like it that need the boost, or to left-field ones no one ever really even tries using like Camerupt, than stuff like Gyarados.

Beedrill sounds like the oddest choice of pokemon to mega It SEEMS that way, but with it's access to Poison-type, Bug-Type, and Dark-Type moves, decent speed and Early access in-game it can be a powerful Anti-Psychic/Fairy if you take the time to train it. Curious to find out if it's typing or ability changes when you Mega Evolve it......I mean It could REALLY use Levitate because it's obviously Airborne in game, but Something to increase its speed, increase its power, or maybe Poison Point wouldn't be out of the Question.

YES! Finally a reason to use Beedrill! I've always liked it, but it never offered much. Shame it's not Bug/Dragon, making it the first of its type.

Hmm, No Guard, Special attack boost... Pidgeot learn Hurricane? Other than that and Heat Wave, not sure what other moves it has that could benefit from this, but that's a solid two right there.

Seriously I am happy Beedrill has an actual purpose now. I've ALWAYS loved it's design, it just also always sucked in-game until this.

Mega Beedrill looks cool as hell, and a Dragon/Poison typing is neat, too.
Mega Pidgeot.....It looking virtually the same and no elemental change makes it rather bleh.
