On Facebook, TNA is build Willow as someone to be feared, almost like an Undertaker type. I really hope they aren't going that way because it will fail miserably if they do. That's right, fear the willow.

Well two of my family members who have shown no interest in wrestling until seeing the Willow promo have decided that they're tuning in to see what's going on with it. Seems like it's doing the job of bringing people in, that's good news.

Alternatively, I showed it to my best friend who was a big Jeff Hardy fan for years, and he and I shared a laugh over how goofy the whole thing was. Best of luck to Jeff pulling it off though. He was pretty damn interesting as the heel champion of Immortal, so I'm hoping he can have similar success with this. Expectations from me are very low though.

Though it sounds as if your friend wasn't watching TNA regardless of what Jeff was doing which goes to show that Jeff as Jeff has done all he can to draw people in to TNA. Some people might laugh but that's wrestling, let's just hope he maintains these newly interested fans and that this isn't the drizzling shits.

He hasn't really been into wrestling for a while, but I did sell him on ordering the WWE Network. Also to show that I wasn't trying to hackjob TNA when showing him the Hardy video, I also told him about them taking risks with Samuel Shaw's gimmick, and some of their more inspired recent signings. That said, as long as Jeff stays clean, I'll be cheering for him to succeed. I've never been a fan of either Hardy, but I hope for the best for him. And I give TNA props for doing more outside-the-box stuff like this and Shaw.

After giving it some thought, I have two suggestions for how I think this should go: First, they should acknowledge Willow is Jeff Hardy right out the door. Don't try to pretend that the audience doesn't know its Jeff wearing a crazy outfit and acting weird. Make into a sort of heel version of Sting's transformation into his Crow character back int he 90's; Jeff Hardy feels disillusioned with wrestling and the fans and in his resentment he assumes a new, darker persona. And second-this could actually be a good way to end this atrociously drawn out Joseph Parks/Abyss train wreck and possibly get the Abyss character back to being a badass monster heel. Do a story where Willow forces Joseph Parks off the deep end, causing him to turn back into Abyss full time as his enforcer/puppet and have the two of them go on a total tear.

Abyss and hardy have always worked well together.

Go full nuts with it and have it be a split screen with Jeff Hardy and Willow where Jeff is the real guy, and Willow is his Great Gazoo that only he can see.

This looks like they're trying to grab some of that sweet, sweet Bray Wyatt money to me.

I don't see the similarity to the Wyatts at all bar the fact that they're both 'horror' characters and we've had plenty of those over the years.

Well in that case, I'm glad Jushin Liger and Psicosis never really got much promo time in America (although I can only speak a little Spanish and no Japanese, so I guess it wouldn't be an issue). It might ruin thosee gimmicks if they came off as pretentious as Willow does to me.
