I was talking to someone the other day and they mentioned that Jeff Hardy wrestled at a RoH show and got booed out (and presumably cussed out...) of the building.
When did this happen and what exactly DID happen?
I swear, I am so in the dark on things that I wonder if I was even paying attention a few years ago...

He F'ed up, basically.
This was July 2003, during Death before Dishonor. Against who, I forget.

He came out in his Willow the Wisp character, and throughout the duration of the match was eventually unmasked, revealling that he was Jeff Hardy. And for no real reason, other than they thought he sucked, the ROH crowd went nuts and started booing him, even cheering "We want Matt!" That's all I really know.

=And for no real reason, other than they thought he sucked, the ROH crowd went nuts and started booing him, even cheering "We want Matt!" There was a very good reason, that reason being that Jeff blew every single spot he had. Even his friggin entrance pose on the post. The reception he got was well deserved.

The commentators also explained that in a shoot with RF shortly before that event, he said he lost his passion for wrestling, so perhaps that's why the fans crucified him on that night.

I remember Joey Mathews pushed Jeff off the top turnbuckle to the floor and the place popped big time and the Commentator said "Mathews just turned face" Also I remember the fans chanting Don't come back.

He just said that he lost his passion very recently before coming to ROH, a company that prides itself on pride and passion. Why would the fans want to watch someone who didn't like what he was doing(and it was evidant in his work). And the match BLEW. was a major spot fest(and I like spot fests).

I think it was a combination of Hardy's inherent suckiness, lack of passion, and the ROH fans getting sick of all the Jeff Hardy fangirls in attendance. Why they thought it was a good idea to bring hardy's coked out ass to a fed that promotes work rate is completly beyond me.

oh that match is classic. really it is.
and for the record krazy k screwed up the most during the match not jeff. still though it was crazy seeing as how the ROH practically didn't stop booing the crap out of hardy. the 2 fans that were like front in center on the dvd probably felt like they were dead inside or something.

I like how the entire crowd knew it was Hardy when he came out. And they just shat on him from pre-bell to after-bell.
And the guy redefined the word "suck" on that show.

As I've mentioned in another thread, the fans came off as the smarkiest smarky jackoffs in wrestling history. The type of smarks that make all of us look like losers.
And I'm not one to defend or give a crap about Jeff Hardy.
