Not only will Tony Stewart not be charged in the death of Kevin Ward Jr., it has been revealed that Ward was under the influence of marijuana that night.

Where did that last part come from? Just read TMZ's article. Wow. Where did they get that, though? Nothing came out when they did the autopsy.

Where did that last part come from? Got from various reporters off Twitter, the DA said tox. reports revealed he had enough in his system for a significant impairment. dont know this will work from my iPad: mobile.twitter.com/NASCARONFOX/status/514854659647758336Also so only took an hour for the grand jury to decide. Nothing would have come out in the autopsy because it takes 6 extra weeks for those results.

Weird. If he was on weed, I'd expect him to be more sluggish, not fired up like he was on the track .

And of course, the family is not willing to accept that this whole thing may have been their son's fault. Let me explain this to the family of Kevin Ward Jr......your kid basically was high and he was like a random guy who jumped into a lion's cage when he came out of his car and ran to the middle of the track (in a freaking turn, mind you) while cars who are going 200 mph.
Right now the fact that you still trying to extort money from Tony Stewart is just loathsome and makes me unsympathetic towards you. Yeah, sorry you lost your son, but you need to stop.

Well it's not that. When I think of people being on the stuff, I would picture them as being in a very calm and relaxed nature. The way Ward acted before he was struck was more of a rage reaction you'd see from people on steroids or something.

I just hope it doesn't get to the point where they try to do some sort of vigilante justice. Thinking of the air traffic controller in Switzerland who was murdered after accidentally causing a mid-air collision, but hope and doubt it won't come to that. You can tell Smoke is pretty much destroyed mentally from this whole affair though; it's like he's aged 10 years in a few months and I wouldn't be surprised to see him retire sooner than later. And re: driving high, Exhibit A should be IMSA GTP during the 1980s, and really, pretty much a lot of drivers during the 1980s for coke especially.

Wasn't a lot of the sports cars/80s racing in general drug stuff more drug trafficking and money laundering? Or were they racing high too?
