Yeah, as much as I wish they'd tweak the weight system again at times, I worry that they'd wind up doing some silly shit like the infamous 'Fighting Styles' in SvR 2008, where Undertaker couldn't have his own flying lariat because he wasn't a high-flyer. I really think SVR 2008 is better looked at for what it was: an incomplete, rushed mess of a game. It honestly should of gotten a few more months of development time for a number of things. The reason for the rush job? Benoit. I have no basis for this other then that it's pretty obvious after playing 24/7 for a couple of hours. If they did try to do Fighting Styles again, and they don't rush it or half way do it, it would be much better received. It's a great concept, but a number of things were wrong in the execution.

I always thought the ability to lift guys should be tied to a wrestler's strength rating rather than their own weight. Or at least combine the two, so that an e.g. "strength 9" heavyweight can lift heavier guys then a "strength 9" cruiserweight.
Also, a possibility could be a "simulation option" that can be disabled for a more arcadey and, for some, more fun gameplay variant where stuff like stamina and weight detection are disabled.

I'm hoping for a revamp just like everyone else - if its going to happen it will be this year or next. I think we'll just have to settle for the game looking decent for a change. Never forget:

I hope they allow us to have more people in feuds next year, so we can have our own stable wars like the current Shield/Evolution one.

I'd like to see some smarter AI when it comes to allies/rivals in the Royal Rumble. Like if you set two guys as each others top rivals, they make a beeline for each other in the match, whereas allies/stablemates would help each other by breaking up eliminations.

I hope 2K15 is heavily centered around today's product (which it most likely won't) but it would be nice for a change. I swear, WWE Games are the only sports games with this issue. No one has ever said, "Man, enough with the throwback matches, I just wanna see the modern Packers team play the modern Bears team!!"

I blame (what a coincidence) NBA 2K with the whole retro craze in recent years.

I wouldn't mind the retro content so much if they would at least do something with the current guys in the single player modes.

In hindsight, if removing Benoit made the game into a rushed mess, they probably should have left him in and just made it to where he doesn't show up on the character select screen. Also, maybe hide his cut-throat taunt in CAW mode.

Playing my ps4 just gets me so excited for a new game, or well, the possibility of a good new game. I'm always optimistic for these games but I'm really hoping with the new power, they can really do some amazing stuff.

Well my brother got me 2K14 the other day, and here are my thoughts on it so far:
It's WWE '13 with a new coat of paint, some new people and moves and some bugfixes. Changes to Universe are pretty good though, and I love me some Universe. 30 Years of WrestleMania is f***ing BRU-TAL. I couldn't have given less of a shit about any of the matches up until the Attitude Era stuff, and even that was recycled from last year, then shit got straight lazy.
It's a fun little thing to waste time on, but not good for much else I don't think.

I just randomly decided to pop in 12, give Husky Harris Broken Out in Love, then have a quick match with Cena. The game doesn't hold up at all - it's very slow and awkward, and I'd forgotten just how much you had to do to someone to keep them down for even a second.
Edit: Switched to 2K14 now to play a Rumble match I've been putting off, and a perfect moment just happened - Bray Wyatt came out and cleared the ring, then Rick Rude ran out. The two of them are both heels and have been fighting each other and Ultimate Warrior for awhile now... then Warrior was the next one to come out.

I just hope in the next game, when you do the Cesaro Swing, there's a little button mashing mini-game where you can try to make the swing last longer or something.

Yeah, I'd have it as something where you need to stop it in a certain section, kind of like in the I Quit thing but with it centered, and it just gets smaller and smaller the more you do it.
