Does anyone remember this game? I loved this game when it came out, but I remember it being quite limited on what you could do. I recently heard about Evil Genius Online, a Facebook game, but all it managed to do was make me want to play the original again.
And upon playing the original again, all that made me do is want a proper sequel to the game. I'd LOVE a new version of this thing. Maybe a game where the island is randomly generated, or you can choose from a large list of islands. The most frustrating thing is waiting for my minions to arrive on the world map and when I finally check, some agent of justice has already decimated half of them and I have to send more in and wait again. I always change them to Hiding, but it seems like if I get busy doing something else and forgot, they randomly start plotting or stealing.
Another improvement I'd like for a prospective sequel is the security system. If I tag an intruder for termination or capture, EVERYONE in my base rushes over to do it, no matter what they may have been doing before. I can't tell you how many times some super soldier is being escorted for interrogation when their escort decides, f*** it, I gotta go, leaving the super soldier to run roughshod over my base.
Anyone else love this game as much as I did and want a sequel?!

Well, first they love me, and then they don't. Sometimes they do it, and sometimes they won't.

Haven't played it yet. Bought it a while back from gog.com but haven't gotten around to installing it.

It was an idea I had for a game when I was younger, so I was overjoyed to see it actually made. Sadly the game itself had many flaws.

It had many flaws, but it's a hell of a fun game, I still bust it out every so often.
I also wish they'd have made minions remember their jobs, I don't want all my valets running into a gunfight, have them run in and man the consoles.

I bout it last year.
Its fun, but very limited and sloooooooooooooooooooow.
You kinda just want to get on with things, but you always seem to have to wait.
I think there is an Evil Genius 2 in development.

To be fair, the game is almost 10 years old.
It's too bad there hasn't been something like it since, the studio was absorbed and disbanded so we never got a sequel.

Man, I forgot about this. I always wanted it when came out, but wasn't really into PC gaming back then. Heck, I don't even thing I had my own PC at the time! Might have to get it off Steam!

I think there is an Evil Genius 2 in development. If Evil Genius 2 does happen, I hope it's an improved version of tag original rather than whatever that Facebook game is supposed to be. For a ten year old game, despite its flaws it's still addicting and I imagine a game with a better engine and some massive improvements would be even more addicting.
