It came completely out of the blue, and considering all his other losses in the last couple weeks, I can't imagine they booked it just to protect Orton. So where's this going? Sheamus vs Reigns at Wrestlemania?

Na, just a way to get The Shield and the Wyatts and everyone in the chamber in the ring together.

Whatever distracts him from not having a program with Bryan at Mania, I'm happy.

I get the feeling that someone in creative wants The Shield to go solo, but another wants them to keep going, hence lots of filler.

No. Shield are unfortunately done after Sunday me thinks. Wyatts win. Reigns is a face. Ambrose is a heel. Rollins cries in the corner.

I doubt it.
Just seems like a typical recent WWE move where they just write something at the last minute that they have no intention of ever explaining or even referencing anytime afterwards, and they just expect the audience to go with it and not ask too many questions. I mean yeah, they could write in something like Triple H/The UGHthority sent them out there to protect Orton from another loss, but I don't think it'll get played as anything personal against Sheamus to where it leads to a feud. For now I'm just assuming that it was merely a plot device to get everyone in the ring brawling at the same time to sell the CHAOS and EXCITEMENT and INSANITY (or whatever nonsense Cole was forcibly spouting off at the end) that's going to happen Sunday in an attempt get some more buys for EC.

We're never getting an explanation, are we? Or even an acknowledgement that this is a thing that happened?

We're never getting an explanation, are we? Or even an acknowledgement that this is a thing that happened? Sheamus is dropping down the face hierarchy pretty quickly. Getting lost in the shuffle.

My inner mark wants either:
A Reigns/Sheamus double turn (let's face it, Irish Cena isn't that great, even though I think Sheamus is my favorite in the ring, right now)
OR
Sheamus joins the Shield. It wouldn't make any sense, it messes up the dynamics, but damn it, it sounds cool, and it's just fantasy booking.

Have they, either WWE or Cena, even acknowledged the Wyatts costing Cena the match at the Rumble? They did the night after it happened - a recap of it opened the show and it was mentioned a few times, but there's not been any reference to it since and tonight they outright retconned it away.
