Figured I should make a separate thread for this so it's visible, rather being lost in the general Network thread, or "are you buying" thread. I called them this morning to find out about their payment options, & I was told there are three options: Major credit card Pay Pal Pre paid Visa which you have to register with the phone number or website on the back of the card. Just realized I forgot to ask about debit cards, but based on what I have below, I'd guess yes. I asked if the 6 month commitment meant you pay $60 up front, or if it's actually $10 a month for 6 months. I was told that once you register a payment option, it will be an auto charge of $10 on a month to month basis. So on Monday, your card/pay pal will only be charged $10. I asked what happens if someone only pays one or two months & cancels their card or whatever, & was told If you skip out on the remaining balance they send you to collections to get the balance owed. This all starts again when the first 6 months are up. Figured this would help people who want the Network but don't have a major CC or $60 in their account. from this moment on, please no asking for or making suggestions on how to get this outside of the usa, please.

If they are sending you to collections if you dont pay does that mean they will want to credit check you first?
I would have prefered paying upfront for the 6 months to be honest so that it is out of the way.

If they are sending you to collections if you dont pay does that mean they will want to credit check you first? No, because they're not technically extending you a line of credit. It's just that when you sign up you're allowing them to charge you every month.

Glad we got some clarification on that "6 month commitment" thing. Not that $60 for 6 months of content is bad, but $10 up front is way more appealing.

I think I'd rather pay the $60 up front and then forget about it

I think I'd rather pay the $60 up front and then forget about it I don't care either way, but the current model is much more customer friendly due to time value of money and what not.

Did you ask what other changes the Network would make to the world? I've been led to believe it's gonna do that.

This question has been deleted many times and is prohibited by Pro Boards rules. Just a heads up. Edit: "take your world hunger" How about "cure world hunger"? Stupid Android device not listening to me correctly & typing what you want, not what I say!!! #JerkPhone

I hate to burst some bubbles, but prepaid visa GIFT cards (ones that don't charge a monthly fee, for example, and can't be reloaded) can not be used for recurring charges. I know this from experience. So those cards you get from the grocery store that can't be recharged with more money will not work. Green Dot and others like that, that usually charge a monthly fee, likely will.

I asked specifically about pre paid cards, & he said they can be used if registered.

Pre paid cards are basically like regular bank cards only without the bank involved. Gift cards are just that...gift cards.
