At this point, I have to assume JTG, Ezekial Jackson, and Curt Hawkins make up WWE's IT staff or something.

Ricardo is at every taping, and he does interview segments and whatever else backstage that they ask of him, I'm guessing. I know there were comments from DiBiase Snr after Ted Jr. was released that he was flown out, but never used. Zack is usually flown out as well. It seems to vary from person to person.

Guys like JTG are probably left at home since the wwe figures it isn't worth the cash to bring them in if since they are so low on the totem pole.

Those guys should be working NXT shows and going over the dregs of the NXT roster and getting built up so that in the event they are used to job, it actually means something.
And they should doing the PR work so that the guys like Cena who already have a full plate can have a lighter workload.

The sort of PR work that guys like Cena do won't have nearly the same impact if Alex Riley did it.

It really makes me wonder why they keep these guys that they never use. It's not like if some of the regulars get hurt that they'll even use them, they just give the healthy regulars more screen time. Why bother?

If those guys were on TV once in a while and made to look like they at least somewhat mattered, it would. Almost all of Cena's media stuff is Make-a Wish when they ask for Cena or shows like Good Morning America. Cena isn't doing those local radio spots, he's doing high prestige media stuff that only mega stars get asked for.

But WWE should still treat these other guys like they matter and stop making them look like total losers so that they can have some appeal to the Make a Wish kids and the talk shows. No wrestler should ever be made to look worthless. It kinda bugs me that The developmental talents seem to be higher in the pecking order than some of the main roster guys.
