I only know of OLP doing Chris Benoit's theme, and WWE doesn't dub over it (including in the rare instances of Benoit matches on WWE Home Video since 2007). That makes sense as it is a remix (with lyrics added) of Benoit's 2000-02 Johnston-composed theme. I know they don't dub over that one. I was referring to Tatu, Kid Rock ('American Badass' and sometimes 'Legs'), and Limp Bizkit (Rollin'). I'm not sure if they dub over Cyprus Hill (Tazz used them for a while). I'm not sure if they ever dub over Finger Eleven (Kane). No, they don't dub over Finger Eleven's Kane song. Like Benoit's Our Lady Peace theme, it is also just a re-done version of Kane's earlier theme by Jim Johnston. Same with the Saliva version of the Dudley Boyz's theme. Sevendust also did a remake of Jericho's theme, but he never used it for some reason.

Speaking of the song I would mark out like a little bitch if they used this cover as a theme....

Come on the only reason the song got anywhere is because it had 2 females dressed as schoolgirls kissing in the video. The song was trash.

I think, overall, they didn't look at things from the standpoint of "is X important enough to have this?" so much back then. They felt the sound and the image around that song fit Victoria's character, and probably more importantly wanted to have a hit song with some buzz/controversy around it on their TV program for cultural relevancy purposes.

Psycho Heel Victoria with that music was so awesome. It was only...what was it, about a year and a half or so? But it was fantastic.
Happy Go Lucky Hi-NRG Babyface Victoria was nowhere near so much fun.

I think Victoria hid her pretend lesbianism a lot better than tatu ever did.

If I'm remembering correctly, didn't she become a stable member of the roster when Raw was pushing the whole HLA angle pretty hard? More or less. She was not nearly as overt as Mickie was, but she did tear Terri's clothes off, bite off at least one girl's nail during a match, and otherwise act a little forward, so to speak. I never got the feeling Victoria was obsessed in a sexual way, she was simply nuttier than a fruitcake and thus "psycho Vickie" was born. If anything, she was more of a toned-down version of a dominatrix, judging by her "relationship" (if you can call it that) with Stevie Richards around that time. Basically, a woman who was to exhibit total control and a feeling of uncertainty to the Divas locker room.

Pretend lesbianism? Yeah, no.
By "All The Thing She Said" is referring to her being crazy.
Sorry if I have to be the sane one here, but it's obvious the song is meant to make her paranoid.

Wasn't she a fake lesbian like TaTu for a minute? Her introductory storyline with Trish definitely had lesbian undertones. I'll be honest, I can't think of a single feud with another female that Trish had that didn't have lesbian undertones.

I think the bold part was actually the more important aspect as the song really hadn't taken off in the States yet. The girls in t.A.T.u. were still lowkey enough to drop by The World (WWE New York restaurant) after Victoria had been using it as her theme for a month or so and did a quick interview in the middle of the day for it. The WWE has predicted certain songs being hits, as with the aforementioned Evanescence song, as well as the last three or so Wrestlemania themes taking off a few weeks after first being used.

Yeah, after reading your earlier post (which I didn't read before posting myself) and doing some research, I see that the single wasn't even sent to radio stations in the US until 2003, and Victoria started using it in late 2002. So, I stand corrected. That whole early 2000s period blends together for me. As for your first point, I agree, it's a legit good song. If anything the whole "whoa lesbianz" deal surrounding it took away from that.

And then they replaced Victoria's theme with a song sung and written by Nicki Minaj. Like you said WWE is oddly good in predicting songs to be hits. But then again they helped create the buzz like Invincible is practically a sports anthem now.

For some reason I thought it was this song: Oh, man. The video for that is incredible.
