I love the song and it was so badass as a theme for psycho Victoria but I find it really interesting that WWE decided to use a licensed song which was big in the charts at the time. Was there ever a reason why Jim Johnston decided to give it to Victoria? It's a different situation compared to when Punk started using "Cult of Personality" because he used it for a while in the last few months of his ROH run and Edge using "Metalingus" which was on Alter Bridge's debut album, WWE occasionally uses songs by Alter Bridge for PPV themes.

Wasn't she a fake lesbian like TaTu for a minute?

I'm wanting to say there was something about her being friends with a member of the group and them getting it cheap as a result or something.
She should've used the Simple Minds one. Yes, I only know of it because of GTA 5. No, I have no idea what that song is about.

Maybe Victoria liked it and requested it? Before she stopped using it in 2004, Jim Johnston wrote a sound-a-like version, but it never was used on TV because he wrote her a completely different song for her babyface turn. Luckily, the knockoff is available: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxfC4PtOQz8

Wasn't she a fake lesbian like TaTu for a minute? Funnily enough, not until years after she stopped using the theme. She also did the pseudo-lesbian thing in TNA for a minute, as I recall.

Wasn't she a fake lesbian like TaTu for a minute? Her introductory storyline with Trish definitely had lesbian undertones.

I think it was mainly for the "Yes, I've lost my mind" line.
Which they re-arranged to come first in Victoria's theme version of the song.

She was not nearly as overt as Mickie was, but she did tear Terri's clothes off, bite off at least one girl's nail during a match, and otherwise act a little forward, so to speak.

Seems like WWE was willing to work with more outside artists back then, like Our Lady Peace, Finger Eleven, Cyprus Hill, Limp Bizkit, and Kid Rock. Of course now the dub over most of those tracks.

I only know of OLP doing Chris Benoit's theme, and WWE doesn't dub over it (including in the rare instances of Benoit matches on WWE Home Video since 2007). That makes sense as it is a remix (with lyrics added) of Benoit's 2000-02 Johnston-composed theme.

I was referring to Tatu, Kid Rock ('American Badass' and sometimes 'Legs'), and Limp Bizkit (Rollin'). I'm not sure if they dub over Cyprus Hill (Tazz used them for a while). I'm not sure if they ever dub over Finger Eleven (Kane).

What we're forgetting here is that "All The Things She Said" debuted on WWE TV a good deal before t.A.T.u. broke in America. While they did get attention in Europe, they hadn't crossed-over in America yet to the point where the single hadn't even been shipped to radio. Presumably, it was licensed to the WWE at a cheaper deal as, along with the worldwide rights for its use, it was a quick way to get it heard a lot at a time when the company was still riding off ends of the huge Attitude-era popularity high as well as this time, more than any other, the WWE made licensing music a priority. Edge had a new Rob Zombie song as a theme, Hogan was using "Voodoo Child," so this unknown group aiming to have a hit in America wasn't going to presumably break the bank. I love the song and it was so badass as a theme for psycho Victoria but I find it really interesting that WWE decided to use a licensed song which was big in the charts at the time. Didn't they have one of Evanescence's hits as a PPV theme as well? Yes, Evanescence's "Bring Me to Life," which hadn't even been shipped to radio when it was used for No Way Out 2003. In fact, it was promoted on WWE TV first as a song from the Daredevil soundtrack before the artwork for the group's album was even released.
