I don't remember it being a particularly stand-out PPV, and after looking it up it and reading a few recaps/reviews it doesn't seem to have that reputation as being one of the greatest. Considering it was only a few years ago I don't have much of a memory of it (I don't know whether that's says more about me or WWE's PPV's). Some things I do remember: •The chamber matches are pretty reliably entertaining for me and these two were no different. I liked Edge's reveal in the Main Event (pretty clever) even if it did give away the ending somewhat. I also like when Chamber matches feature non main event talent (like Mike Knox here, or Masters/Carlito/Santino). •I think it was one of the first times a "Main Event" started the show which I thought was weird and didn't like. •This was when Swagger had a lot of potential and looked like a future Main Eventer. •I hated the HBK/JBL feud; what a bore fest. An HBK PPV match that sucked. I can't remember the Orton/Shane match at all. I may go back and watch it (I'm re-watching a lot of Shane's matches at the moment). Well, watching matches from this show on their own kind of takes away from how strong this event was as a whole. Like, top-to-bottom, the whole card (including backstage segments) seems incredibly thought out. I'd recommend giving the whole thing a shot again. Perhaps tomorrow on the WWE Network?

All I remember is being pissed at the lost potential for a 'Mania match they had; not only was Kofi taken out by Edge before he could enter the Chamber, but Rey was tossed out of his pod so Edge could take it instead. Kofi could have gotten revenge on Edge, as could Rey. Kofi vs. Edge or Rey vs. Edge for the title? Seems like a fresh idea for Wrestlemania, if you ask me.
But no, we really needed to see Big Show have an affair with Vickie Guererro just so Cena could win back the belt.

How was Rey vs Edge fresh when they had the same exact title match twice the year prior?

One question: Why the hell was Mike Knox in the main event? (I wasn't watching WWE at the time.) He was feuding with Rey around this time, and kept attacking him. I only remember because Cole constantly referred to him as a bully. Did Knox ever wrestle at another PPV?

Good show. That Cena elimination (Codebreaker, 619, Spear) is one of the best, most genuinely surprising moments in recent WWE history.
I will say, if we're talking about non big 4 PPV's, I actually prefer Backlash 2009. That show is insanely good.

Cena getting eliminated early is still weird to me. Mainly in terms of execution, that is.
Sure, it took three finishers, but it happened when Cena was in the ring for about...only 5 minutes.
I know they were trying to devalue Cena a bit, but it's still strange to see him get whipped so easily.

Anyone have the gif of everyone in the match's reaction to cena being eliminated?
