What one thing would make WWE lose subscribers for their network?

That blurred logo shit. Bleeping out the word "WWF." Editing out blood etc.

Removing live PPVs, and it's not even close. I imagine there's many more people who care about getting PPVs at a huge discount than there are people really psyched about watching old WCW shows. Encouraging the casual fan who rarely spends money on the product to do so more regularly has to be their biggest goal.

Live PPV's being removed. The archives are nice, but you could get most of those elsewhere. Raising prices is second.

Yeah, I'd have to say removing live PPVs. The other stuff will likely be a nice bonus for the casual fan who is saving a ton of money on the PPVs they purchase.

Alluded to it in another thread, or I guess expounded on it, but if they have an issue with the PPV feeds, dropping, constant freeze-up, quality issue, or a switch to a SmackDown style PPV where it's on a noticeable tape delay could really turn people off.

Personally it would be the removal of the PPV and Raw/Smackdown back catalogues.

I think they'd lose subscribers without the PPVs. Eventually people will have seen a lot of the archive footage they want to see. They would feel it's worth it to keep subscribing to it because they want the PPVs and live, full Hall of Fame ceremonies.

I think we'll only get every live PPV for a year then they'll start charging for WrestleMania only, then Mania/SummerSlam, then Mania/SummerSlam/Rumble.

Personally, remove live PPV's & I'm gone. The price rises above $14.99 a month, & I'm gone.
Yes, that's two, but if either happens, I'll cancel immediately.

I think in the long run tiered subscription packages are inevitable once the network settles in and they have a good subscriber base

There's a poll on WWE's site asking the best part of the Network and the PPVs are crushing the other options (pretty funnily almost nobody's voted for the original content) so that presumably is what the main draw is. Though personally, most WWE PPVs these days are awful anyway so I'm more getting it for the archive content.

without the live streaming of PPV the WWE Network is nothing.
raising the prices is a close second. they definitely shouldn't be charging that much more than Netflix does.

I'm looking forward to seeing all most of the old PPV's, but you can't beat $10 a for new PPV. Well, I guess $9, or $8 or, you get the point. I fixed my own post.

without the live streaming of PPV the WWE Network is nothing. raising the prices is a close second. they definitely shouldn't be charging that much more than Netflix does. Yeah- right now, it's fair that WWE Network's got a higher price than Netflix, but only because $10 a month is a genuinely inspired price just statistically: The price of PPVs is too high- $60 was unreasonable for prices anymore. Wrestlemania can usually get around 1.2 million buys a year. Higher, lower, it's around the same. Every other PPV usually gets around 100,000 buys a year. Conclusion: Even though there's clearly going to be some overlap, there's just enough stats to make it atrongly reasonable for a conclusion of "the average WWE fan household will only pay for Wrestlemania and whatever Pay-Per-View happens in their child's birth month [selling that as one of their presents"] is close enough to the truth to be a viable market. Conclusion 2: The average WWE fan will give the WWE $120 a year for 2 PPVs. Conclusion from Conclusions: $10 a month is EXACTLY what the WWE Network should be priced.

removing the live PPVS would cause me to cancel my subscription.
As much as I like watching old stuff occasionally there are other means to watch most of them, either through DVD or Youtube...etc.

Live PPVs. I'm calling it now. Right now Live PPVs are going to be included in order to encourage the early adopters but eventually the compan is going to create a "tier system" just like Netflix. They'll start off by removing the big PPVs to test waters.

If they remove live PPVs I'd cancel after my 6 months are up. Or if the price rises above $14.99 a month I'd likely cancel. Since if the price goes all the way up to $19.99, you damn well know they'll eventually raise it yet again & I'd likely never get it again.
