Yes, I understand that. I was asking if the original Andre tape from 1985 is also missing that 30 seconds, or is it missing only from the Network version. If it's missing from the original Andre tape, then that edit was made in 1985 and WWE would have to splice in the missing part for it to be included. If it was missing from the original Andre tape I wouldn't have mentioned it here. The original Andre tape not counting the bumpers and commercials for the upcoming videos is about 45 seconds longer because 30 seconds are removed from the TNT segment and the video intro montage is a little bit shorter. Okay. Do you remember what is missing from the TNT segment, like is it from the interview on the set or the Andre/Patera match? I want to check my 2005 WWE Home Video copy of the Andre video to see if it's missing there, too.

The "I'm a Freebird, What Was Your Excuse" song has recently been removed from select 1992 WCW shows, in some instances being replaced by "Badstreet USA" or, in the case of Clash of the Champions 18, cutting out a live performance of the song (especially strange because the same footage is still included in one of the "Legends of Wrestling" episodes).
There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why it has been removed from some shows and not others. The same guys responsible for "Badstreet USA" also wrote/performed this song. WWE actually re-inserted the song back into some shows a few years ago after it wasn't included when the Network launched.

The last 3 seconds of the Andre & SD Jones vs Patera & Studd match are missing to cut out the transition and then like the first 30 seconds of the TNT segment are missing where Vince introduces Andre and then Andre comes out to that late night show wannabe music. On the Network version it just fades out of the Patera & Studd into Andre sitting on the couch. On the original video version Vince introduces Andre and Andre comes out to music. It's weird because like I said they didn't get rid of that music on the Tuesday Night Titans episode that aired.

The DVD had Michael Cole and Tazz call Andre/Studd or you could watch that match with no commentary at all while the Network has the original commentary from Monsoon and Ventura.

Ventura sued WWE for royalties so on a lot of DVD's Ventura's commentary is edited but he was never edited out of the Classics on Demand shows. I wouldn't be surprised if when WWE made that DVD they made an alternate version with the original commentary to air in the future on Classics on Demand. Hell, it probably did air on Classics on Demand as they had an entire home videos section on their network that had coliseum videos, WWE Home Videos, and WCW Superstars Series. The DVD version is missing the intro and outro video montages if I remember correctly.

The Roddy Piper video is missing the instant replay with music over it at the end of the Snuka vs Piper Match with Lou Thesz as referee. On the Network version it fades out while Piper bodyslams Snuka but on the original video they go to a replay with music over it of Snuka doing a leap off the top on to Piper.

Typically, if a DVD had Ventura's commentary removed, Classics On Demand would air it that way (the 2004 Mick Foley set being one example as Ventura was missing from the Cactus/Vader match). The Network version of the Andre tape is definitely a new edit, as "WWF" references aren't muted like on the DVD.

Not sure if it was an issue with previous releases, but the Godwinns/LOD match from One Night Only has a video error (looks like satelite interference) in the middle of the match.

All I can tell you is that there's about 30 seconds that's on the VHS version that's not on the Network version. I think I'm going to check out the Ricky Steamboat Video on the network today. I remember renting this tape as a kid and fans started chanting "Bullshit" at Piper during the Piper's Pit segment and I was shocked that this made the tape. I was only a kid but I had never heard profanity on a pro wrestling show at that point. I wonder if they do some editing here. I guess I will find out.

Hey man can you do me a favor and check if the DVD has video errors during the Andre and Snuka interview. There's some weird video errors on during the Andre & Snuka video and then the camera is shaky during the beginning of the Snuka & Andre vs The Samoans interview. I'm wondering if this is on the DVD version as well as Summerslam 89 has glitches during the Dusty interview before his match against Honky Tonk Man yet these glitches aren't on the Anthology version so most likely it's not on WWE's master copy.

I checked the DVD, and they apparently used a different source for the interview on there. Instead of fading in with the squiggly lines like on the original and Network versions, the DVD just has the interview show up on screen. Also, Vince saying "They're calling this one of the most phenomenal tag team combinations of all time" is shown on screen on the DVD version, while the VHS/Network version just have the audio of that line.

The Network version of the Ricky Steamboat video is about 30 seconds shorter. The last 15 seconds of the Pipers Pit segment and the last 15 seconds of the Body Shop Segment were removed most likely because music starts playing in the background.

I’ve been watching my live versions of shows and then a few times I’d watch the network version and I couldn’t believe how much is edited out I always figured they changed music and that was it but in 97/98 they edit a ton of stuff like superstar line stuff with Sunny or Sable on random shows or their Backstage@ segments for their website which is weird seeing the wcw shows have all there hotline and website stuff.I was watching Breakdown IYH and they edit a ton even post match celebrations or guys walking to the back or superstar line stuff or backstage promos or JR & King on cameras. There’s a few matches where the bell ring and there’s an edit and the next match is starting when Live there was a bunch of things happening whether it be promos, announcer banter or heat recaps.

I haven't looked at a lot of the 1997 and 1998 Network versions but from what I've heard a lot of those are not the PPV versions but the Coliseum Video versions. Coliseum Video's last video was Survivor Series 1997 so I can't really vouch for 1998 as I have never compared the PPV versions to the Network versions of any 1998 shows. I did compare Over The Edge 1999 to the Network version and the only thing missing from Over The Edge as far as I can remember besides all the Owen Hart references (Road Dogg interview, Debra and Jeff Jarrett interview, JR announcing Owens death, JR going to a video package of the Blue Blazer, one minute from Jeff Jarrett's entrance) was a segment where WWE gives you a free gift in exchange for sending in a copy of your cable bill.

WWE’s editing is always weird I remember back during the 24/7 ondemand days when they cut the ppv’s into 2 parts they’d always edit out promo’s that would air between the last match of part 1 and the start of part 2 especially the wwf shows from 96-00 I knew those by heart as I’d rewatch them a ton as a child so I knew immediately that the superstar line segment after the 1st match on a ppv was gone or an Undertaker promo was missing. I’ve always been in favor of watching my live airings over the network versions but I thought they were largely the same until I recently posted thoughts on a show and was told that stuff wasn’t on the network version and not to post thoughts from the live airings in the network section. So it intrigued me to check some network versions of the shows and how much was missing with the wwf/e shows while wcw shows are largely intact including hotline and compuserve segments. The only thing I noticed on a wcw ppv that was missing is on BATB 96 Mean Gene and Kimberly shill a BATB Beach Towel.

the 1/4/01 smackdown is missing a undertaker hype video that has clips of the rollin music video and undertaker clips. weird considering the song is all over the network except for summerslam 2001. the episode includes a jesse ventura commercial pushing the XFL launch the next month

the 6/28/10 raw that Rob Zombie hosted they dubbed over his song that he came out to with a generic rock song. they also erased a logo that promoted his upcoming album
