This one's been mentioned, but I noticed something odd about it. On Clash of the Champions 15, the finish of Hase/Chono vs. the Steiners is shown from a fan's TV-to-VHS recording. What's strange is that if you listen closely, there is a brief moment (1-2 seconds at most) where the VHS footage has been synced up with the audio of WWE's HQ tape until the audio of the VHS tape starts. My guess is that that part of the footage on the master was damaged but the audio (for a few seconds, anyway) wasn't. The odd part is Clash 15 aired on Classics On Demand years ago, and I don't recall that version having the VHS footage at all.

The July 24, 1993 WCW Saturday Night episode is missing a 1-minute rundown of the upcoming Clash of the Champions card right before the Colossal Kongs' match. The August 14 episode does have it, though.

The July 9, 1996 episode of ECW Hardcore TV has the following edits.
- A few seconds of billboards hyping ticket info for Heat Wave 1996 are missing right after Tommy Dreamer's promo. - A 1-minute clip of Dreamer's chairshot to a handcuffed Raven from Heat Wave 1995 is missing right before Joey Styles hypes the upcoming Four-Way Dance for the TV Championship. - Right after Styles says "that's the news about this Saturday night," there is a quick fade to black. On the original broadcast, he introduces Hype Central with Lance Wright, which is completely cut on the Network.

John Cena vs. Big Show on WrestleMania 20 has the same edits from the original 2004 DVD and the 2005 WM Anthology DVD version.
- Originally, Cena told the crowd to yell "damn straight" when he asked "is WrestleMania here to represent?" On the edited version, they just skip right ahead to Cena asking the question and remove him explaining to the crowd what to do.
- Cena whiffs on some punches pretty badly at one point. That has been removed. They cut a few seconds of footage rather than changing the camera angles.
The edits were not present on the 2016 WWE Home Video U.S. Championship set that included this match.

I was an ECW fan but I don't remember that at all.

On the November 1, 1986 they actually keep in Dingo Warrior in the ring with Born To Be Wild playing, with the World Class shows editing mainstream music is more convenient since usually the wrestlers with music would come to the ring to music and then they would do the introductions so they can just go to the intros. On the May 11, 1998 Raw in the segment where Dustin Runnels burns his Goldust costume they leave in the part where a fan yells out you're a f----t Rhodes! That's not the only time the F bomb is left in unedited. I think it was at Great American Bash 1990 but I could be wrong about that. Either way there's a close-up of a group of guys with huge smiles on their faces in the crowd happily chanting the other F word at Jimmy Garvin during a Freebirds match where Garvin is wearing eye makeup. After the fans drop the F bomb, Good Ol' JR himself chimes in with something to the effect of "Garvin would be really popular in San Francisco with that makeup on." As a proud SF Bay Area resident with a very thick skin I found JR's comment hilarious, but still shocked all of these comments were left in.

Lance left ECW for a bit in 1996-97 to be a ring announcer for WWE, then returned as a heel manager.

For some reason on Mania 14 WWF is muted during Road Dogg's intro and nowhere else.

Not sure if it was on the actual show, but when they show a flashback to Cactus/HHH on Armageddon 2000, they cut to black and white when we see Cactus's bloody face (even though the show is listed as TV14). Also, they left in the Sweet Home Alabama cover.

Also, they left in the Sweet Home Alabama cover.Unless they missed it somewhere, the Network version dubs in an instrumental ripoff of SHA throughout the show. The live PPV and the VHS release had a Jim Johnston cover of the song that included the lyrics. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaXrWz14OAE

Edits to Jun. 10, 1989 episode of World Championship Wrestling:
- Replay and A&W King of the Slam spot is cut after Ranger Ross's win. Other A&W spots on different episodes have been kept. - NWA Hotline plug and live events plug is cut after Great Muta's win. The 10-second bumper in between the two is cut as well. - Replay is cut after the Dynamic Dudes match due to music. Their entrance is intact with a dubbed replacement. - SST ring entrance is cut as well as the replay after the match. This is due to the music used on the original airing (the theme to Halloween). - Same live events plug from earlier is cut a second time after Jim Cornette's promo.

So far, WM36 has kept Now That We're Dead and Obsession from the Boneyard and FFH matches respectively.

I haven’t read back through all the pages, but has anybody pointed out how chopped up a lot of Hollywood Rock’s musical skits from 2003 are? Like all the stuff of him playing guitar backstage and riffing on whatever state they’re in are cut, all three Rock Concerts are completely butchered to the point where they contain no actual singing from Rock whatsoever and have been rendered completely pointless. I guess parodying songs isn’t fair game? Such a shame because he did such good shit™️ during that run, and his little dittys on the gee-tar were some of my favourite bits. ☹️

I'm watching Backlash 2002 right now and after the Kurt Angle vs Edge match, which was great by the way, highly recommended. The screen goes black and comes back to Chris Jericho's entrance. Jim Ross says "this is neither RVD or Eddie Guerrero." What was edited prior to Jericho's entrance?

It was a segment with Tazz at WWF New York asking fans who will win between Hogan and Triple-H, then it goes back to J.R and King talking about RVD and Eddie, and that's when Jericho's music hits.

Thanks for the information. Seems like a weird thing to edit out. I've been rewatching all of SmackDown 2002 with ppv's and so far I believe all the WWF New York segments have been left in. Including my personal favorite from No Way Out 2002 where Mr. Perfect is at WWF New York wearing a leather jacket with no shirt underneath and says "everything is terrible here, even the rats!" 🤣

I echo your love for it, for all the wrong reasons. Then there's That Jerry Lynn Segment.
